Perfect fit for Champion 3500 (Honda clone) You really need a multimeter though to complete install. First you need to set the meter to Hz and dial the governor screw on the motor to get to about 60-61.5Hz. Then switch to volts AC on the multimeter and dial the Blue potentiometer clockwise on the AVR (the piece being reviewed ) to move voltage up to 120v. You need a very small screwdriver for the potentiometer

This Hoypeyfiy 3500W AVR regulator worked perfectly as a replacement for my generator. Installation was easy, it fit well, and it restored stable voltage output. The quality feels good and it helps protect my equipment from voltage fluctuations. Great value for the price and I would recommend it.

Fixed my generator

I'm always hesitant to buy very low priced parts but this fixed my problem and seems to be working fine. I'll buy another Soo. Just to have as a back up. I live in Florida and it's a necessity to have a portable gen ready to go.

This AVR looked and fit like the original AVR for my Champion 3500/4000 watt generator, model # C46540. Solved the problem of the generator putting out much less voltage than normal. Now, when set to 120 or 240 volts, I get the correct voltage. I had to fine tune the voltage adjusting screw on the back of the AVR to get correct voltage, but very easy to do.

Plugs in the same as the old one, fits, just have to adjust the screw up like 6 or so turns clockwise. I'll have to turn mine back slightly because its pushing 124volts under load but there is a 20% leeway on voltage for it to run safely.

When you first get the avr its simple plug and play red wire is always positive it did not say it was positive on wires,next when I tested it running its output was only 102 voltage thats not enough, avr was not adjusted to 120volts. When new you have to move screw clock wise while meter is on to get the right voltage... thats something the seller should tell the consumer had to figure it out on my own.

So far so good. I installed it to replace the AVR in my Benchmark 4650E. Although this AVR is a 6 wire model and the original AVR has 8 it still works. I believe the 2 additional wires controlled the warm-up period. With this AVR installed it generates electricity immediately. You just have to make sure to not put a heavy load on the generator until it warms up.
