Remington MB4560 Touch Control Lithium Beard Trimmer - Black/Silver

I have had one of these for 5 years and it was great. When the battery started to need charging every few days I decided to buy another. Even though there are a number of bad reviews on here about this product - short battery life etc - I didn't hesitate to buy it again. I charged it up when it arrived a month ago and I have used it everyday since. It has dropped down to 2 bars on the battery indicator, so I would guess I have another few days left. It's so easy to charge when you're travelling as all it needs is a USB connector! And who doesn't love being able to trim your beard to 3.5mm one day and then 3.6mm over the weekend - just to go wild?!!

I had high hopes for this gadget. Remington promises an easy way to adjust the cutting length using the touch-screen. However, this is where this device fails - and it fails miserably.The one thing that you want from a beard trimmer is an easy and reliable way to set the length of the trimming blades, but the touch-screen just does not work. The Remington MB4560 beard trimmer is supposed to offer "175 length settings with intricate 0.1 mm increases" - but this is impossible to achieve. As some other reviewers have pointed out, the touch-screen is either too sensitive, or not responsive at all, so adjusting the trimmer to your desired length takes way longer than it should.This could all be forgiven if the trimmer gave a nice and even trim. Unfortunately, it does not lift the hairs properly and it does not cut evenly. It's messy and difficult to clean as loose hairs get stuck between the moving comb and the device. It can't be rinsed or exposed to water, which makes cleaning it a chore. Because of the way the moving comb is attached to the device, I can't see this being suitable for short beards and stubbles.On the plus side, it charges in only 90 minutes, has a USB charging port and cable and comes with a nice travel pouch.I have used the  BaByliss for Men 7895U I-Stubble Plus  for a few years now, and instead of replacing it with the Remington MB4560, I think I will just go back to it, as it does what it's supposed to - and so much better than the Remington. There's also a new and improved version,  BaByliss for Men Super Stubble , which is water-proof, so I may upgrade to that instead.Remington makes some great devices - I use the  Remington HC4250 Quick Cut Clipper , which is awesome - but this is not one of them, and I can't recommend it.

Pro's- This is a good razer that trims neatly across your face and neck.- The length of my beard is much more consistent now than with beard trimmers- The trimmer holds a good charge - You can easily trim your beard multiple times at top speed without having to charge the items.- It comes with three speeds which can be handy, especially if the battery is getting low and you are on holiday you can use it on low speed and still get a good facial trim.The only negative would be the the the digital up and down buttons which can often not work freely, I've had to hold down on the button or press them numerous times to change the length of the blade.

The blades cut well, and when it works, can get an accurate length to trim at. However, the charge does not always last that long and often it can be a real pain trying to get the touchscreen to recognise a thumb or finger to alter the trim length.

If you are having battery issues you have been sold an earlier version.The battery setup changed some time ago.The first one I bought had exactly that battery problem describedwhich I put down to bad luck. However I have 2 now and both are fine.I have been using these for 3 years and would not use anything elsebecause this is the only one on the market that goes down to 0.4mmNone of the rest do and longer than that just looks scruffy.Check the number on the shaver - they all look identical but maybe thenumbers changed.I've had the one I have now for about 18 months I think - with noproblems at all. I use it daily and recharge maybe once every 2 weeksand it is still half full at that point.I have just broke a prong on the comb and those seem to be hardto get however. (I fixed it with superglue ok but I really want a spare)

I bought this beard trimmer to replace my previous model (MB4555) that lasted me about three years of weekly use. I use it to trim my beard and give myself an all over "stubble type" haircut.My original reason for choosing it was the USB charging. I travel a lot and used to carry a large bag of different chargers for phone, shaver, pocket camera, bluetooth speaker, etc. It was so inconvenient. Now, everything I carry has USB charging - so much easier.I have never been disappointed. The electronic trim-size control works well, but not perfectly; It often races past your desired setting so you have to fiddle back and forth before hitting your desired number. Then you can lock it in. Since I use a different setting for hair, beard and eyebrows it can be something of a game to adjust it.The power of the trimmer engine is good and the blades are sharp and accurate. I never needed to service or oil the unit. A full charge lasts more than enough time to trim my hair and beard, then I charge it up again for next use. The plastic blade guide attachment is a bit delicate. I am very careful with it and so it lasted me till the end, but I can imagine its easy to break, which would render the unit almost useless. Also, the side on-off button is easily triggered when its in my suitcase, discharging the battery. A double lock would be useful on a future model.Would I buy it again? Certainly yes. I just did. This is my second unit. I am very pleased with this product.

This product absolutely beautiful .Touch control is very use full. is very easy to use. You set it up the control anywhere you like Touch pad Control Panel every single digit can go up and down . To get better finish where you like . Speed is very good . You can adjust the speed . It's very easy to clean. Only problem is you can't clean with water . Product finish is very good and nice... Battery life is very good
