The JJC Standard Hot Shoe Adapter is a versatile tool designed for photographers looking to expand their lighting options. With a standard ISO hot shoe, a PC sync connection, and a 3.5mm mini phone connection port, this adapter allows you to trigger off-camera flashes and studio lights effortlessly. Its sturdy cold shoe foot and 1/4"-20 tripod socket ensure secure mounting, making it an essential accessory for any photography setup.

Has the accessory bracket Tensioner!
Specifically bought this adapter because it has the accessory bracket tensioner that some adapters do not. Some accessories have thinner inserts that do not fit snugly into most adapters. The tensioners are handy for that reason. The tensioner is seen on the upper-side bracket of the provided photo.

Does it’s job.
Triggers the flash via a 3.5 mm input plug. I use Pocket Wizards and Canon Speedlights. It’s made of plastic, so be gentle.

Dual Purpose
Simple adapter that functions two ways. 1. It can add a PC terminal to a modern camera that only has a hot shoe. Allows connection of corded flashes, such as studio strobes to any DSLR. 2. Allows a hot shoe flash to be used with older cameras that only have a PC socket. Example is the Nikkormat FTn. Just connect a cord with a PC terminal on each end between this handy adapter and the camera; see the attached photo. Please note in the circled area paper between the handle and JJC adapter that insulates the hot shoe terminal on the bottom of the adapter.
