They are affordable soft jaws, they magnetise to the teeth of my stanley vice however the magnet strength isn't the best and they move about very easily, I could upgrade them with bigger magnets however i'm not all that bothered to at the moment as they hold in place and protect delicate finishes and items. I tend to buy a lot of Draper products as they are affordable and to quote Todd Howard from Bethesda game studios "It just works", they've not let me down yet.

Just the job

Jaw clamps are nicely made. Magnets could be stronger as they dislodge quite easily when trying to set up.

Just the job , second pair I have purchased , after 5 years heavy use the first pair a looking a bit sad .

I have found these jaws very useful for a number of projects, namely more delicate stuff that I don't want to mark or scratch i my Record vice. The magnets are strong enough to keep them in place in the jaws fine, I have had no issues with them falling off, and the blue rubber is grippy enough for most of the jobs I have done, and do a good job of not marking the item clamped. They are not perfect though. It can be tough when something needs to be held really tight, and the blue rubber will distort and there is a risk of scratching. I solved this by using two pieces of thicker rubber, keeping the jaws well away and allowing me to get a really good grip. I only have to do this sometimes, so I am not too fussed by this. Over all I am very happy with these, they have had a good workout and are still going, although the rubber is a bit ripped and worn in places, but then again they have had a tough life, and at this price it isn't a big deal to replace them when worn out.

Ich habe die Gummibacken für den Schraubstock in der Werkstatt bestellt. Hier habe ich aber nicht beachtet dass es sich um einen 120 mm Schraubstock handelt. Aber auch dafür passen die Backen sehr gut! Lieferung: ======== Die Backen werden einfach verpackt auf einer Kartonlage mit Blister darüber geliefert. Die Beschreibung auf der Verpackung ist nur auf Englisch vorhanden. Verarbeitung: =========== Die Backen haben auf Innenseite jeweils 2 runde Magnete eingearbeitet die sich an den Schraubstock ziehen. Die Magnet halten jetzt nicht extrem fest, aber die Haltekraft ist vollkommen ausreichend. Das Alu selbst ist gut verarbeitet und weist keine Grat auf. Die blauen Gummibelege sind ca. 4,7 mm stark und verklebt. Sie werden oben und unten zusätzlich noch durch eine leicht vorstehende Kante gehalten. Ich habe noch nicht all zu viel mit den Backen gearbeitet aber sollte sich der Gummi lösen kann dieser mit 2K-Kleber wieder leicht angeklebt werden. Anwendung: ========= Die Backen werden einfach durch die Magnete auf den Schraubstock gehalten und durch das rautenförmige Muster im Gummi können die Teile fest und schonend eingespannt werden und halten auch sehr gut. Der Gummi gibt ca. 2,8 mm nach, dann liegt man auf den Alu der Backen auf. Ich verwende die Backen z.B. für empfindliche Plastikteile damit keine Abdrücke von den Stahlbacken entstehen. Fazit: ==== Gut verarbeitete Alubacken mit Gummiauflage die ihren Zweck in der Werkstatt gut erfüllen. Ich würde sie deshalb wieder kaufen, nur mit einer 120 mm Länge, passend zum Schraubstock.
