Amelia Bedelia Chapter Book 4-Book Box Set: Books 1-4

I hadn’t realised that this series was American, my mistake as the information about the author does say he lives in New Jersey.Neither my self or my daughter (6yo) could relate to the story and then having to explain/translate the American words made this a hard read.I, like other reviewers, also found the name ‘Amelia Badelia’ very annoying, because the full name is written every time she is mentioned. My daughter actually suggested ‘mummy maybe just say her first name, you don’t need to keep saying her last name too!’🙈

I was looking for books to keep my 5 year old busy. However, the main character is quite irritating and takes everything literally, which gets old quite quickly. My daughter did read them but hasn't re-read them or asked for any more of these books.

I was super excited to share with my daughter, she didn't particularly enjoy it but I still think the stories are great!

I bought this set of books back in June for a child's birthday present, they looked perfect from the outside so I just wrapped them up.Unfortunately today, the child has unwrapped their present and this is one of the books inside, however my window to return is now closed????

My daughter really enjoys reading these books. A bit disappointed at the lack of colour but no complaints from my daughter so I'm happy.
