Fluval FX2 External Aquarium Filter

I've had this since end of Aug 2024 and I'm super impressed. I actually got this for a 235L Tank, it's more than enough for it and does the job. I did have a look at the FX4 but didn't see the point of it given the size of the tank. I have an aqua sys 235 with the cabinet and this has enough space to fit under it. I would highly recommend Fluval products. I love the fact the flow of the output can be controlled, the build of it is amazing and just generally the support you get from Fluval (mine came from the seller Aquacadabra but dispatched by them), I have used Aquacadabra before and super impressed with them too

Very easy to set up. Perfect for my 200l tropical tank. More than enough flow,keeps the tank spotless. I did have to purchase the spray bar to distribute the flow more evenly across the top as the output nozzle produced too much flow for my fish. Would highly recommend. Fits perfectly in a Fluval roma cabinet.

This is well worth the money, really easy to set up, on a video I watched it said no need to put water in it, you definitely do, I put 5l of tank water in it

Great filter use on my 200L goldfish tank !Can block occasionally but that’s goldfish for you little poop machines also have one in my 300 L tropical tank which is fantastic too !Good flow of water and handy ammonia, nitrate pads, an extra to buy but easily slot into the baskets

Great filter until the filter died after a year to expensive for parts or replace better off with all pond solutions canister filters. It’s a shame as Fluval is supposed to be one of the best on the market.

I bought this as a replacement for a 15 year old Fluval 305 cannister filter.I'm running the FX2 on a 240 litre/64 gallon planted tank.Very easy to set up.I used the bio media from my old filter as its well established with beneficial bacteria and mixed it with the included media.Good flow from the output nozzles,do much so I've removed my wave maker.I've also added the Fluval FX UVC clarifier to the filter and all works excellent.Very quiet and a very worthy upgrade from my old filter.
