Versatile adhesive for crafting
This glue reminds me of my childhood, my families business always had bottles of this stuff for working with card and paper. Iโm sure anybody whoโs used this particular glue will be familiar with the smell of it, although I donโt know where itโs my senses that have dulled, but this doesnโt seem to have anywhere near the offensive fishy smell that I remember so vividly. Itโs a really great glue for crafting, it has so many different uses when working with all sorts of materials and if you donโt have it in your craft box, you probably should rectify this. For me, I was pondering how I could mask parts of a 3D printed object where I do a lot of post processing, mainly involving using SLA resin to coat my FDM parts so that I can get a smooth finish. I considered PVA glue (AKA school glue!) but decided against that as it can dry very hard and It would probably be more work removing that than it would have been not masking. Suddenly copydex sprang into my head, I remember that when not bonded to another surface, it actually removes very easily, itโs almost like a bubblegum, and this would allow me to cover the sensitive areas and then perform the finishing steps before removing the covering of glue. It works brilliantly, and I know from past experience that using it for its intended purpose itโs a great all round glue, especially if dealing with bonding different types of surface.

Good alternative to padding compound
I bought Copydex as an alternative to padding compound. Padding compound, for those who don't know, is a special type of glue used to make notepads and booklets. It's applied to the edge of a stack of paper or cards, and holds them together but allows for pages to be pulled out. The Copydex works well for this purpose and is a lot cheaper. I've used it for business cards: just clip a stack of cards together with bulldog clips, then apply to one edge and let dry. A second coat may be needed. The bottle is convenient and the brush good for the job. Unfortunately Copydex has quite a distinctive ammonia smell, but that disappears quickly. As it dries, the compound may turn yellow and over time it may allegedly discolour paper, but so far I haven't had any problems with this. Used as multi-purpose paper glue it seems to do a good job, but given the liquid consistency and smell, I would probably stick with a glue stick -- no pun intended. For fibrous materials or when you need a larger volume of elastic glue, it's ideal.

Great purchase of Copydex glue
So useful for a variety of diy and crafts where you need to stick fabric! I used it to repair the hem of roller blinds which holds the bottom bar in place and had come unstuck , and attatched braid trim to give it a smarter finished look! Perfect result and easy to do as the glue comes with a small brush inside the lid!

Polystyrene / Styrofoam safe
Great product. I have been using this adhesive for years in many different applications. It Is Polystyrene / Styrofoam safe, It does nt melt the foam. Can be either used as a contact adhesive or wet and join application. For wet joining I coat both sides press together then use a low tack masking tape to hold it together Then wait 24 hours to make sure it has fully cured. As a contact adhesive apply thinly to both surfaces and wait until dry. then contact. The joint is stronger than the polystyrene itself. for small delicate areas I use a fine artist paint brush for application. I use White spirit to clean the brushes. its a good idea to practice gluing bits of spare polystyrene, to get the hang of it first. All in all a very good product. Recommended. Fit for purpose.
