I find this dosing funnel incredibly helpful for keeping my coffee station clean. It fits perfectly on top of my portafilter basket and creates a great barrier so my coffee grounds do not spill over the sides while grinding or distributing. The material is lightweight but durable and it sits securely without slipping around. It saves me from wasting any precious coffee beans and makes my morning workflow much more efficient and completely mess free.

Not the best design, but the most effective magnetic dosing funnel because the used good magnets. I'd prefer it to be taller and wider, but it still works extremely well. Very stable due to the strong magnets and won't just fall off. Easy to use. Perfect fit and compatible on all my 51mm portafilters.

I wanted to streamline our espresso workflow. I added the Normcore Magnetic Dosing Funnel V2 to our kit because loading up the portafilter & using the WDT was causing a mess on the counter. This funnel stays put and looks great. is it required? No. Does it work great? Yes! The Good: What Works Well Rock-solid attachment: The magnets are impressively strong. It snaps onto the portafilter and doesn't budge. WDT’s Best Friend: It provides the necessary height to use a WDT tool without making a mess. Low Profile: Unlike some "tall" funnels, this one is compact enough to fit under many grinder dispensers while still attached to the portafilter. Premium Finish: The matte black anodized aluminum feels incredibly durable and matches high-end espresso gear perfectly. The Not-So-Good: Price Point: It is definitely a premium option. You can find plastic versions for less, but they won't have the same weight or magnetic security. Pro Tips: Maintenance: This is anodized metal; do not put it in the dishwasher. Just wipe it with a dry cloth or a dedicated coffee brush. Magnet Care: Keep the bottom magnets clean. If coffee oils or grounds build up on the magnets, the "snap" won't feel as secure. Compatibility: Make sure you pick the right size!

I've been stubborn about buying a funnel - yet another coffee tool to simplify and optimize, right? But, it really does reduce the mess when using the WDT tool. The magnets are quite good, a different brand funnel (with magnets) wouldn't even stick to my portafilter. The fit is OK - it does slide around on my 58mm basket if I move the funnel. But, that hasn't been an issue because the magnets keep it in place. The shape is also a bit more tasteful than most of the generic funnels. Oh, and beware - if you're grinding directly into your portafilter basket (hands-free), the funnel may not fit into your grinder's portafilter-holder. This was the case with my DF54 grinder. Overall, I'd say it was worth the extra ~$4 USD over generic competitors.

Normcore products seem to all be high quality. This funnel works very well. Strong magnets hold it securely to the portafilter. My only small complaint is I wish it was just slightly taller on this 58mm version. Just a few millimeters of additional side height would be a great advantage at times when the fine ground coffee decides to come out of the dosing cup in a clump. This current model still makes it much better than with no funnel and does the job quite well.

Pretty good quality. Not a perfectly aligned fit ( interior circle mostly matches up ) Be aware if you have a Stainless Steel portafilter like my premium ECM Synchronika's it will be a weak magnetic fit. Adequate, but not firm by any means. Quite the flare in this collar but the height is good. Much lighter than Steel, more durable than plastic. Half the price of a colored plastic collar with much weaker magnets.

58mm fits perfect on a Pullman basket. Good quality as well. Be careful the magnets are strong the benefit of this design though is, it is a tamp through. Keeps the mess to a minimum transferring from dosing cup to portafilter, keeps your grounds in the basket during distribution as well.

I bought this funnel because I wanted to prevent my coffee grounds to not fly out of my portafilter when using a WDT tool AND also when transferring from the grounds bin to the portafilter. I purchased the Normcore 58mm Magnetic Dosing Funnel V2 for $17.99 November 2025. Although it's not the lowest price for another espresso setup accessory like this, it does the job and so far I've had a good experience with Normcore's products. For reference, I have Profitec Move that comes with a 58mm portafilter. This dosing funnel does "stick" on with the magnet, but it's not super strong and doesn't have a satisfying click. With my particular portafilter, there is a little shifting of the tool on the lip. It's annoying, but not the worse. The exposed magnets design does make me a little nervous (it's more about if that small magnet gets dislodged unknowingly), but it looks like other comparable funnels have that same design. Oh well. I feel that the height of this funnel is sufficient while going at the grounds with a WDT tool. It could be taller for peace of mind, but I imagine if you wanted to use this with an espresso grinder's portafilter hooks, you might want it low like Normcore's offering. Overall, solid purchase and streamlines pulling espresso shots (when using WDT and having to do transfer from grinder to portafilter) while minimizing coffee waste.

Perfect. I was looking for an upgrade and this is great. Strong magnets and fits my ECM bottomless Portafilter perfectly. Happy I purchased from all the other options available.

I bought a cheap one for AED 35 . It was well made and the magnets were good, but it had an inner lip that disturbed the coffee and didn’t stay in the stand. So I returned it. Now, this cost x 8 times more, but wow! It’s so well made , there are 12 really high quality magnets and it works so much better. It’s just not worth the money. , hence the four stars… Now for AED 100? That would be worth it and five stars….

Facilito mucho mi proceso para crear espresso, ya que antes batallaba mucho para poner todo el cafe que necesitaba en la canasta del portafiltro, y por mas que tratada de tener mucho cuidado, solia perder un poco de cafe en este proceso pero con este dosificador eso ya es historia. Lo estuve utilizando tanto con el portafiltro que viene en la Delonghi Stilosa como con el Normcore y lo que les puedo decir es que en ambos lo hace bien, sin embargo, noto que es ligeramente mejor con el portafiltro Normcore.

We recently added the Normcore 51mm Magnetic Dosing Funnel to our espresso setup, and it’s been a game-changer for improving workflow and reducing mess during dosing and distribution. The build quality is excellent, solid, well-machined, and feels premium in hand. The magnetic attachment is strong and secure, snapping onto the portafilter with satisfying precision. However, unfortunately, the funnel did not perfectly fit our portafilter, leaving some gaps in-between, so few coffee grinds slips through. We use the funnel in combination with our WDT tool and tamper, it makes my routine more engaging and fun. One of the standout features is how much cleaner and more consistent our dosing process has become. The sleek, matte finish also complements the rest of our espresso gear nicely. Cleaning is effortless—just a quick rinse or wipe, and it’s good to go. The compact design makes it easy to store, and it doesn’t take up unnecessary space on the counter. For its quality, no doubt it's a good value for money, but not cheap at all.
