A real labor-saver if you chop veggies a lot
I've been using my spiralizer for about a month now. I was inspired to get a spiralizer, and specifically a Mueller spiralizer, by Martha Rose Shulman's book "Spiralize this!". Ironically, I haven't yet made any recipes from that book, although I intend to do so soon. Instead, my spiralizer instantly became useful in my kitchen as a chopper.I'm a diabetic and a semi-vegetarian and I spend a LOT of my time in the kitchen chopping veggies. I use them in chopped salads, soups, and stews, as sandwich garnishes, etc. etc. I most frequently use my spiralizer to spiralize potatoes, onions, zucchinis, and cucumbers. I live in the southwest, so I spend a lot of time chopping cucumbers and onions to make salsa and pico de gallo. I think it would also do a good job on apples, turnips, and jicama, although I haven't yet tried that.I have a food chopper where you push the veggies thru a grid of blades. It is great for some tasks, but often it makes larger sizes than I want. I've found that the spiralizer cuts veggies much finer, and it only takes a few quick chops of the knife to separate the spirals into curls and bits of just the right size.So basically, I use the spiralizer as a food chopper... it gets the pieces down to the right size and it is quick and easy to use, so it is a real labor-saver for me.It is compact to store, it is quite sturdy, and it is quick and easy to set up, clean, and tear down, which is important. On a quality scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 5.

Fun and Easy
I bought this as part of my effort to eat more veggies. My first attempt was to spiralize zucchini for “spaghetti” and it was easy, fun and delicious. I may never go back to pasta! Easy to clean and so compact and easy to store. I’m not one for a bunch of extra appliances but this one is worth the space.

Simple once you figure it out
It took a little figuring out but it's actually simpler than we thought. It works decent enough though with long vegetables it almost takes two people because there is nothing to support the vegetable while you spin it, so it keeps wanting to fall. Once it gets shorter, it will stay up on its own. In retrospect, something that holds the vegetable vertically instead of horizontally might be easier to use. We're still happy with it though. It has more blades then we'll probably use. It washes clean pretty easy. Everything packs up into itself making a nice block shape to save space, which we really like because it's easier to store in a cabinet than some of our other tools that are more awkwardly shaped and consequently take up way too much room.

The best design - so easy to use & clean, makes eating veggies fun!
I am very impressed by and love this spiralizer. I find my daily lunch routine is sped up and made more simply for me because of this product. Thank you so much! It is so easy to use and clean, the different blade options are awesome and the way it's all so neatly organized hits 10 out of 10 for me. I'm a neat freak at home and don't like keeping things on my counters, but this spiralizer stays out because it's ascetically pleasing to the eyes, especially when I use it just about every day. The suction cups on the bottom are sturdy and stick down good so I know it's not slipping anywhere. I've used it for zucchini and cucumber most, but last night we tried beets and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to spiralize raw, given it's a root veggie and tougher. The only part that I would recommend is looked at for future designs to improve even more, is some sort of catcher tray that lays flat against where the blade cuts. When spiralizing at home, I lay a washcloth down just to catch any random pieces that fall and don't get in the tray. Anyone trying to keep their counters clean may prefer an easier method but it's not a deal breaker at all.Overall, this is a big win for my lifestyle and wellbeing. It's made eating vegetables not so challenging, and even cool when you have different sized spirals to enjoy each day. Thanks for the great design, Mueller!

Does not work on carrots
Nice concept, well built, nice and compact, but does not work for carrots. Even with the included skewer, a carrot will not stay in place to allow spiraling. Your carrot would need to be the girth of a soda can to stay in place on this device.

Nice for the price
It has four different blades easy to slide in and out. It makes very nice spirals. Super easy to clean. My only complaint is it’s a little unsteady.

Instructions are stupid and came with broken side cover for compartment
First of all, this came with a broken side cover for the compartment to keep the other blades. The lid cover just falls out all the time. Then later fixing the whole thing while reading the instructions were just stupid. Instructions came with pictures where its not fully clear. Wish I could have given a 0 star.

Not for my use
Found it small and too much time to work & assemble.
