Excellent results!
It's a month since I applied this to all external trim on my car. So far, excellent results. From other reviews I expect this excellent finish to last up to 2 yrs - let's see how that works out for me. Easy to apply, I supplemented the cotton application pads (4/5 included in the box) with a few similar cotton pads from my wifes makeup drawer - worked great.I wiped excess liquid using a clean microfibre cloth. The bottle of this product is small (15ml?) but it goes a long way. I used two thirds 2/3 of the contents for the trim. E39 bmw

Trim Restoration
Excellent product. Does exactly what you need. Follow instructions for best results. Area must be clean and grease free. Use an alcohol to cleanse before use. Apply small amounts. Obviously if your plastic has surface damage it probably won’t be any good. Sun faded plastic it’s great. Do not get on your paintwork. Only down side is it’s expensive. For a mid to large car that’s has a lot or large amount of plastic trim you do need the bigger bottle. Other than that buy a car with painted trim.

Incredible results
I don't normally write reviews on products but I am so impressed with this stuff that I felt compelled to. I just bought a 1997 VW Golf and as you can imagine for a 21 year old car the plastics were pretty worn out. After a single application of the C4 trim restorer the plastics look practically new. I genuinely can't believe how good the results are, and for the sake of £27 and half an hours work it's a far cheaper option than finding replacement trim pieces for your entire car. If you're sat on the fence about buying this because of the price or if it actually works or not, just buy it, it really is that good.

Best I have tied
Firstly this product is different from the more basic trim cleaners/silicone restorers you find in your local Halford or Auto parts store. The cheaper and more basic silicone cleaner/restorers such as Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant Plastic Restorer, do make the trim look shiny but the effect only lasts till the next wash or a couple of weeks tops in sunny or rainy weather.Whilst the Gtechniq C4 is very expensive it claims to last up to two years but even if it give 18 months until I need to reapply then it is worth it. After seeing vehicle details recommending it on You Tube I had tried a product called Solution finish, which is more like a dye and a little I spilled stained the brick in our driveway black. But application of Solution finish lasted less than six months. The Gtechniq C4 liquid is clear and application is easy, Gtechniq even supply the application pads. For both the C4 and Solution finish treatments prior to application I cleaned the trim with rubbing alcohol and allowed good time for it to dry. At first I was not really sure if I had just wasted my money as it did not seem to be making much difference but after ten/fifteen minutes it was easy to see the Gtechniq C4 had made a real difference to the look of the vehicle's trim, which improved further when I buffed off the residue..Now a month after applying the C4 and even though the vehicle has had a hand wash and also been put through a car wash the trim still looks as fresh as it did directly after the I applied the C4.Hopefully it will last but even if I have to do it again next spring it will still have been worth every penny

Really does work
I was very dubious in purchasing this, mainly due to the high price of it.I applied the Panel restorer from Gtechniq to prep the surface and then applied the C4 to my black plastics on the car.Its fantastic how this stuff restores life into the plastics. I applied this approx 2 months ago and the plastics are still a black that you would expect when the car is new.I've even bought some more to do the Mrs car (she actually wanted to buy some!).The true time will tell in a couple of years more if this stuff actually works. I'd be happy if I got a year and a half out of it.Its worth the buy, but make sure you prep the car first, and that you can justify paying the high price for such a small bottle. A little goes a long way however, (I did my entire car plastics (Astra H Sport) and the rear bumper of my Mrs Fiesta)

The best trim treatment money can buy
I've considered trying C4 in the past, but mixed forum reviews put me off (especially at the price). These negative opinions are likely to be from people who either failed to clean their trim properly or had trim that was too far gone. The rule of thumb for using this product is that if your trim looks good when it's washed over with warm water then it's a candidate for C4. Even then, you'll need to test that properly by deep cleaning the trim.My Yaris bumpers have been a bugbear of mine for years, and I've tried many different trim treatments with limited and very temporary effect. Back to Black was the one I settled on, but after a couple of heavy rainfalls it started to streak. It also left loads of gunk on my bumpers. To use C4 effectively you need to scrub your bumpers/trim with warm soapy water and a brush or gentle scourer to get as much of the dirt off as possible. Then use isopropyl alcohol and a cloth to DEEP clean them. This step cannot be skipped and it takes patience. Keep going until the cloth that you rub the IPA in with is coming up clean. This took a few hours for my bumpers, but it was worth it.The C4 itself is a doddle to use. Just rub a light layer of it over your trim and gently wipe off any excess with a clean microfibre cloth immediately afterwards. That's it. Just let it dry and cure and you'll get the results you see in my photo above.I don't know how long this will last, but we've had days of rain since I treated the bumper (and the rest of my trim) and the water just beads off of the plastic. I think it's going to last a long time... but don't rush the process!
