An Excellent Speaker Which I Definitely Recommend
This was bought for me as an early birthday present and I went for it after a good few weeks of searching and looking at reviews. If there is one thing I did find difficult with it, it's the micro SD card slot. Trying to get the micro card out can be quite fiddly, but I do have another speaker where the micro SD socket is more easier to manage. The sound is good for such a small speaker and you get excellent stereo, too. The volume is much better than the Anker Soundcore Mini on Bluetooth and, what a surprise - it paired with my Blaze EZ media player straight away. The Anker Soundcore Mini didn't do that when I got it. As only one speaker at a time will work with Alexa, I swap them over on the app as necessary, depending on which one I'm using. I've also got it working with my echo dot. For a blind person, it can sometimes be slightly formidable when you get a speaker, as you wonder how to find the various buttons, so below, I've included some information as to how to locate them. Once you have charged it (to do this, you need, with your finger, to gently remove the rubberized seal which, if the speaker's flat on a surface with the buttons on the top facing away from you, can be found on the right edge of the speaker), you're ready to get started. It took just over three hours for me to charge mine. Feel the top edge, where, towards the left, you will find the buttons. The one on the extreme left is the power button, which is a circular one and you need to hold this down for a few seconds until it comes on. There is no tone to alert you of this. The next button is somewhat smaller and is the button you use to answer calls. The next button which, like the power button, is circular, switches the radio on when pressed and also, when pressed again, takes you back to Bluetooth mode. The final two buttons which are in the form of an arrow, are the skip back/decrease volume (short press for decrease and long press for skip) and the final button is the skip forward/increase the volume (short press for increase volume and long press for skip). As mentioned, the seal covers the sockets, so once you have gently turned this with your finger, you'll find, with the right edge facing upwards, the auxiliary socket at the top, then below that, the charge socket. To the left of this is the micro SD socket. Once it has been charged, as it works for around 24 hours, you shouldn't need to charge it for some days, depending on how often it's used, so just gently turn the seal around and press the left hand side back in if you have it standing with the right edge facing upwards. You also need to long press the power button again to turn it off. The speaker is small enough to put into a suitcase or bag to take away with you, so if you want a good speaker with good battery life, you can't go wrong with this one.

Robust and powerful reasonably priced speaker
When I saw this Neocore speaker for sale I could not resist it. I am a fan of Neocore tablets because of their high performance and quality design at a reasonable price. I was not disappointed. The sound is powerful, more powerful than any of the other small speakers I've had, and I've had a few. There is a rawness to the sound which emphasises power over subtlety. It works well for me as I can feel the music. Robustness and resilience is important to me; I've owned some good speakers which have let me down quickly when either the audio or recharge inputs have worn out well before time, leading to disappointment as I have not had enough use out of them. This speaker appears very robust, it is sufficiently heavy (but not too heavy) to carry the bass. I have another speaker with a good bass, not as good as this one, that takes a flying death leap from my shelf if I don't set it far enough back because of the vibrations. This speaker has two rubber stands at it's bass that comes with peel off protective plastic; this helps to keep it solidly in place. The buttons take a bit of getting used to, long or short holds depending on the function you want. Normally I don't bother much with instructions on a device like this but I found after a bit of trial and error that it was useful to run through the notes. I think that it will become easier in time and adds to the simplicity, having less parts that can go wrong. There have been some reviews to say that the volume jumps significantly and is hard to set at the right level; this is not a concern for me as I control the volume from my phone. The Bluetooth works well which is my preferred way of using it. It comes with an audio cable but I don't use this as there is more chance of wear and tear. All inputs, audio, charger and SD card slot are protected by a rubber cover which looks well designed being attached by a rubber cord that extends, again minimising wear and tear, and adds to the waterproof quality. It can be used in the rain or shower so it says, although I have not tried it. It comes with a hands free phone facility, you can toggle a switch to enable it and it has a built in microphone. I do not use this so cannot comment on it. It also has the capacity to take a 256gb SD card so can act as a stand alone music player, again, as I do not use it, I cannot comment on it. It has a retro look of an old 70's transistor radio although it is only half the height. I'm not so sure about the design. I would prefer an all black casing personally but it looks good enough. It comes with a lanyard which, as other reviewers have said is the devil's own job to fit. I spent the first half hour after unpacking it trying to fit it. Eventually with the use of an unfolded paper clip, I managed and felt quite a sense of achievement! I am very happy with this speaker. Let's see if it stands the test of time. I will update this post if it does not. It is listed as being reduced from £60. This was only for sale on March 15th 2017 at this price. The rest of the time it has sold for less than £32 and seems well worth the money.

Recommended, fantastic for what it is - a portable speaker
Really great little speaker. For it's size the quality and volume are incredible, as as others have said the battery life is amazing. I'm always surprised about how critical people are of the sound quality of small units like this, and it makes it very difficult to choose something. Half of people will review and say "amazing sound quality, great bass" the other half "terrible sound quality, awful base". Let me try and clear it up with this speaker, as someone that cares about how music sounds... 10w is pretty impressive for such a small speaker, and the volume is pretty staggering. It is not difficult to turn it up to be way too loud for a standard home setting, and works great outdoors. There is little distortion even at the higher volumes, but the unit itself does start to vibrate which can cause some audible noise on a hard surface - only with the volume too high though. The bass is fine, but not incredible, nothing is lost listening to most tracks only Drum and Bass fans will be disappointed. The overall sound quality is very good and more than suitable to listen to music while cooking, taking to the beach or at a BBQ. Is it the best quality speaker man has conceived and does it give the most incredible audio performance? No. because it's a 10w portable, waterproof, bluetooth speaker costing £30. If you need a 10w, portable, waterproof, bluetooth speaker, and have around £30 to invest I would recommend this one happily. It looks great, sounds fine and has a great battery.

This speaker in my opinion is absolutely fantastic! Small
I'm not normally a review writing type of person, but I feel that I would be doing an Injustice to this little Bluetooth speaker if I didn't. So here goes. This speaker in my opinion is absolutely fantastic! Small, great sound quality and super good looks. If I had paid £50 for this item instead of 20 I would not of batted an eyelid. Build quality is excellent, battery life is the best I've experienced and the sound quality is superb for a speaker of its size, far better in fact than really expensive speakers I have brought over the years. If you are looking for a speaker to cave the walls in don't bother. But if you are looking for a elegant, petite speaker to listen to the finer music in life then you cannot go wrong. It also as FM radio which is really good considering it as no antenna as such, but reception of the major stations is no problem. All in all a really good BT speaker and for the money I promise if you are thinking of buying this you will not be disappointed.

Good in parts.
Sound quality is surprisingly good, battery life is amazing, I haven't had the chance to try the SD card operation, but the radio doesn't work, just white noise even with the power cable inserted as suggested by Neocore and 20 minutes trying to tune it.

Little Gem
I looked at dozens of alternatives to this because it is not one of the first to come up in a search, but I am very pleased that I persisted. It really is a little gem and is an ideal traveling companion. All the controls, particularly the Bluetooth connection work very well and so far the battery life seems very good. The sound quality is good for my listening needs, although the heavy metal fans might prefer more base, but for speech, jazz and classical music, it gives a very good representation of the original. I have not mentioned appearance, but again this is a very attractive little package. I did have some conversation with the seller regarding delivery (apparently more in Amazon’s court) and they were very helpful and courteous. I hope the speaker proves reliable as it will be used often. Well done MangMobile

Wonderfull little speaker
Excellent sound and connecting with bluetooth is very simple and quick. I am very pleased with this and is a good companion to my Neocore tablet that unfortunately seems to have been designed with awfull sound. This speaker feels well put together. The only bad point is that the top and bottom edges of the aluminium case feel "sharp" to the touch. Nothing to worry about but it does spoil the feel of this otherwise very good little speaker.

Unbeatable At This Price
Received this on the 1st August, used it a couple of hours then gave it a full charge. That was two weeks ago, I'm using this speaker daily, and the battery's still going. I've used a number of portable Bluetooth speakers over the years and none of them have equalled this one, Its overdosed on Beats Pills and costs a fraction of the price and, most significantly, sounds better in my opinion. It's powerful, (stick it under your pillow for a whole new bass experience), and it's extremely versatile. Only criticisms are mainly for the designers: The lanyard was very tricky to fit. Had to resort to custom-made specialist tooling (paperclip). The incremental volume control is uneven resulting in severe volume leaps between some settings. Also has a mind of its own on my device. Finally, a speaker this good deserves a travel pouch/case.

bonne enceinte, mauvaise radio
