Matisse’s Garden

We have used this to introduce Matisse and his papercut artwork to hundreds of children from reception to Y6. The book beautifully lends itself to discussion of Matisse, the artwork and its impact. There are gorgeous fold out pages with prints of his actual pieces which are relevant to the flow of the book. Absolutely recommend.

This is a wonderful book! The story and pictures are awe inspiring. My four and two year old enjoy it greatly and I most definitely enjoy reading it to them.

Beautiful book. Great to do read with young children when introducing a new medium of art. As a daycare teacher I read this to the children and then we explored cutting and glueing to create photos. We had our own Matisse exhibit. The children love the style as it allows for an explosion of colours and creativity. Book came in perfect condition. Highly recommend
