Everything I needed... and more
A great book for my trip, contained all sorts of information hints and tips. My holiday wouldn't have been nearly as much fun without this book. Only fault was one of my own and that was I probably should have got the Rajasthan edition as it's a big book and I only visited Rajasthan and Goa thus I had a few pages I didn't use. The perfect guide book

Superb guide
Used on backpacking trip to south India & was very helpful even in areas with low tourism. Great for accommodation, trains, buses, places to eat & site seeing. Will be used again when I go back later in the year.

Informative and easy to read
Great book. Loads of info and easy to read and use. I will be taking this around india this december and I look forward to reading it in depth. I particularly like the history bits as they give me some context for the sightseeing

Work out how you'll use it ...
It is useful book though unfortunately when travelling with lots of valuable information though an actually book to write in train/ bus times, or hotel/ restaurant numbers etc in is far easier. It's quicker to flick through pages than screens.Think about how you might use the information - will you want to add notes? Probably easier to get a paper copy to do so. If just for reading in bed the night before a day trip somewhere or at a restaurant for lunch planning next trip then e-version might be fine.

Apparently it is a wonderful book which they use daily and are absolutely delighted ...
Just spoke to my niece and her husband who are in India for six months. Apparently it is a wonderful book which they use daily and are absolutely delighted with it.

Good, practical guide
The most comprehensive practical guide to India, which I found repeatedly valuable during my three months travelling in India.

Good Guide
Standard Guide book with lots of information. Plus at time of purchase most recent. Positive lots of information about places and warning , history etc. Negative wonder with other user bassed review that accomdation and eating should be dropped and space used for telling you more about the place. Sugesst use some thing like Trip Advisor for that. It does say that good places have there lodetails transfered to less sutible venues. uggest alway go for most recen of any of the guides.
