Haden Devon Black Kettle

This kettle is stunning to look at. It’s much larger than I expected but it still boils very quickly and without the metal popping noise I’ve had on other kettles when the metal expands. I’ve moved away from glass too as you can see all of the limescale (as we have chalky water where I live). I wanted something vintage looking and this hits the mark perfectly whilst still doing its job well, like pouring the water without spill back. It came with a spare spout filter which is appreciated when you live in a hard water area. All in all it’s the best kettle I’ve had for a decent and not excessive price like a lot of the other vintage looking kettles which range from £80-100 easily. The best £33 I’ve spent for a long time.

Really impressed with this kettle, i usually pay around £50-£60 for a certain branded kettle but no more. This kettle has a much quieter boil, sleek design and has the added bonus of a spare replacement filter at a fraction of the cost.

Lovely colour, looks very stylish, lightweight, boils quickly, quiet, costs 2p - 3p to boil 3 cups. Easy to fill, pours very well. Negatives - the chrome colour is plastic not metal (it probably says this on the ad but I presumed it would be metal, not noticeable at a distance though) Annoyingly, the minimum amount of water is 3 cups! Such a waste to have to boil 3 cups each time I want 1 cup of coffee. It did mention the extra water on a different review but I didn't realise it was quite a lot more to boil each time. Bit of a waste of energy boiling more than needed.

It is a lovely looking kettle but has stopped working well after 14 months which is annoying as it was expensive. I bought the toaster to match so this is more annoying as now my set will not match as no way would I buy another kettle.

Lovely kettle, cream colour not yellow. Pours wonderfully and lid is easy to remove to fill up. Fast boiling, noise isnt too bad. So far a great kettle!

I love this kettle! The traditional/retro style and colour look great in my kitchen! It boils very quickly, and although it's a bit noisy at the start It quietens down. The longer spout is brilliant and doesn't spurt or dribble when pouring, as my last jug-type kettle did. It was a bit more expensive than I usually like to pay, but is definitely worth the money. As it's not plastic, there was no smell or 'plasticky' taste even from the first test/cleaning boil. Very happy with my purchase.

I’ve had this kettle for a few months now and it works a treat. It boils quickly and the design suits my kitchen style. Pretty quiet and pours well.

Just recieved and tried it out. On the plus side it looks great and boils very quickly but be prepared for a lot of steam. Steam went all the way up to the ceiling (I had half filled it). The real disappointment is the base. Very poor quality made of flimsy plastic that does not have entirely flat base so it wobbles. On top of that the kettle does not sit on it without independently wobbling as only the central eletrical connection (roughly an inch in diameter) makes contact with the base. On the whole the quality is compromised because of it. Having said all that I bought this to replace my Haden Jersey Red Kettle, which was twice the price. On the whole I'm pretty happy with it ...if I can get past the cheap wobbly base.

Love it....but a big problem was that it didn't have an Australian plug...it was UK. I would expect when you ship to Australia, you'd include the appropriate plug.

I love this kettle, it's pretty and great value, fairly quiet as well ❤️

Great looking stylish retro metal kettle, ( cream colour) works great, top filling by removing lid is slightly fiddly to get under my tap but not a big issue. Slightly loud boil. Overall a great looking kettle & I got the matching toaster which is v good. Both are metal not plastic which is a big plus. Four stars due to the price
