Enjoyable game and no scoring required
Had been considering buying this for a long time and am pleased I decided to get it in the end! It arrived the next day with Prime, as promised. I've taken a few snaps of the rules in case it helps anyone decide whether they might enjoy it. It's a very simple game to learn and I particularly liked that there's no writing down scores on paper for anyone, which can be a bit of a chore with some games. I also like that the board has reminders about the purpose of one and two eyed Jacks, plus you get a couple of spare playing cards with an explanation of how to play the Jacks too.So far I've only played it as a two player game and it worked fine. Basically you get dealt a number of cards each. The number of cards dealt depends on how many are playing (but for 2 players it's 7 cards each). On the board each card is pictured twice except the Jacks which are excluded from the board (the pack you're drawing from consists of 2 packs of cards). The object is to place your chip on one of the two cards on the board which match a card in your hand, discard the card and take the next one off the top of the pack. Strategy comes in to play as the game progresses because you're also trying to get 5 of your chips in a straight line up, down, across, or diagonally on the board but you need the right cards to help you do this. When you get a line of 5 chips it's called a Sequence and you need to score two of them on the board to win the game. There are a few extra rules, such as the Jacks are used to either remove one of your opponent's chips from the board or they allow you to place one of your chips anywhere on the board (depending on whether the Jack has one or two eyes). My other half often beats me at other games, and whilst I don't mind losing it gets a bit one-sided and is nice to win sometimes. It's early days yet but so far I've found with this game I've managed to win some, because as well as strategy it also relies on an element of chance because if you don't have the right cards in your hand you can't lay your chips where you want to in order to make a line.I'm not sure the stated dimensions of the product in this description are correct but can confirm that the box measures 27cm tall x 20cm wide x 6.5cm deep. The board folds twice and measures 51.5cm x 38cm when open. Enjoyable game and recommended even by a non-card player!

As good as ever!
Beware if you take this anywhere to play, everyone will be asking for one!We first found this game in Greece decades ago. Bought one as a present for family, then others requested it. So we had quite a trade going from Greece to the UK for it. Eventually all our folks had it so everyone plays. We mostly have girls v boys. Kids of all ages can play - the very young can help, the strategy part is beyond them though. Our various Greek relatives have suddenly become interested in playing it. We lent them ours with the promise of bying them a new set. Would you believe it? You cannot buy this in Greece any more! So we ordered the first of several in the other direction. We must have had ours for 20 years and it was, until lent to the kids this summer, in great condition. Will be interesting to see how long their new one lasts, slightly different colouring but otherwise the same.Anyone we have played it with has loved it, no two games are ever the same. And we never play just one game, ever. We have played well into the night on summer's eves. Simple to play, difficult to master (largely bacuse you can never remember where anything is, and spades are often difficult to distinguish from clubs, yep they are!). Very entertaining, and of course everyone loves chucking someone else off the board!I'd purchase again in a heartbeat.

Disappointing quality of materials
Disappointed that the quality is poor compared to the set we borrowed from friends to try it out. Theirs was a recent purchase - not an early edition.. You would think - having sold "over 10 million copies" that they would be able to spend some of their profits improving the quality. The one we borrowed was tactile and - although simple - worth the £20 we paid as it is an enjoyably addictive game. The new counters are cheaper plastic and the cards flimsier. We're still happy with our purchase as we like the game but the excitement is tarnished slightly by the quality...

A classic
Purchased this game a few years ago and it's still enjoyed as much now as it was then. We get Sequence out at the beginning of December and literally play it daily until the end of the Christmas season. Not sure why we don't play it during the rest of the year! It's a really good game that is enjoyed by everyone. Quite strategic and very addictive. You won't be disappointed with your purchase.
