Not meeting expectations
I was encouraged by a very positive HiFi News review to buy them. Since I was looking for rather small speakers, my expectations weren't towards getting great bass extension but rather, given positive review more details and precision.Unfortunately I got all opposite. Well not really. Bass was extending low but for only selective frequencies making impression that regardless of the type of music or a song, it sounded the same. Boxy, excessive, hiding all the remaining frequency bands.Other big issue was complete lack of details and air. I knew they were new pair of speakers with not enough hours of warm up, but even on the very beginning they should at least try to present some scene details, air, echoes. But none of it happened. The sound was flat with no signs of musicality.I am pretty sure that at this price tag, you can surely get a much better product.I decided to return the speakers and be more careful with HiFi News reviews now as they are apparently biased.

Great quality for the price.
Very pleased with these Wharfedale speakers. They were a replacement for 25 year old Goodmans speakers. Great value and quality.

Aller guten Dinge...
sind Drei! Was ich an der Wharfedale Diamond Serie immer sehr mochte, waren die herrlich detailreichen Mitten. So kam ich zur 8.1, die mir schon große Freude bereitete. Ich höre bevorzugt akustischen Jazz in kleinen Besetzungen und Vokal Jazz. Eine deutliche Verbesserung brachten dann später die 121. Trotzdem vermißte ich manchmal etwas mehr Tiefe/Bass. Die 11.1. erfüllen genau das: Noch detailreicher in den Mitten und ein schönes, kontrolliertes Bassfundament. Bin jetzt erstmal sehr glücklich...

der Rocker mit den sanften Tönen
Gute Verarbeitung.Gibt es in Schwarz,Weiss ,Wahlnuss und Rosenholz.Sehr gut verarbeitet,Guter Klang.Boxenkabel kann auch mit Bananenstecker angeschlossen werden.Verwende den Marantz PM6006 als Verstärker und das DynaVox 207299 Perfect Sound Lautsprecherkabel 2 x 5 m schwarz , Ist die Perfekte Kombination.Sehr guter Sound .

Top Lautsprecher für den Preis
Wunderbar klingende Lautsprecher. Ich kann sogar auf einen Subwoofer verzichten. Mir reichen die Tiefen der Wharfedales völlig aus.
