Highly effective and simple to use paint remover
This stuff is great! Did exactly what I needed, which was to remove old painted house numbers on my plastic wheelie bins so I could apply number stickers instead. I used a cloth rather than brush to apply the remover, waited an hour or so and scraped off the majority of the paint without any trouble. I applied a second round to clear off any stubborn paint, and after a wipe down I was able to apply my new stickers on clean plastic. The plastic surface of the wheelie bins themselves appeared to be unaffected by this remover which was good, some chemicals can corrode plastic but this seems ok. Three bins done with four numbers on each, and I only used about a third of the bottle.

Does what it says, strips paint
Wish it was stronger and worked faster, but it does what it says, strips paint. I used it on some brake calipers I was refurbishing, it worked, but took a few coats. Tried on other painted metal, and again it worked, just need to be patient. Keep it covered overnight.

Works very well.
This stuff works great if you do this - 1. Scratch sand everything you are stripping with 80 grit abrasive. Try and scratch everywhere you are removing the paint or varnish. 2. Cake it on. 3. Cover it immediately with cling film , this will stop the product evaporating and is vital. 4. Get yourself a proper carbide scraper a paint scraper will not do you need something with a 90 degree angle to push down on. Go to work 2-3 hours after application. 5. Wash off with baking soda and warm water.

Started working within 15 minutes, easy to scrape off.
This stuff is like magic. I was surprisingly happy how quickly this worked on my kitchen cupboards and fireplace. I applied 1 coat and it started working instantly. I expected to have to use a few layers. But after 15 mins of 1 layer it started bubbling up and I was able to scrape this off. Also used on a radiator too, moved into a house and a radiator was painted black, I used a new paint brush to apply the product and waited 35 minutes then dabbed on another coat and after another 20 minutes I removed the product and it came off really good. Used a soft steel brush and new toothbrush to remove the product. Easy to apply and works quickly.

Beware this water-based stripper
This stuff is terrible and has caused me untold angst when I stripped my cherry kitchen work surface! It’s not like nitromors as it’s water-based which means if you’re using on wood it soaks into the grain making it very wet not a good idea for fine wood surface. It took me about half a day to dry out the wood and there were large areas which were simply untouched by the useless stuff… even after three coats! Then when I applied the first coat of varnish to the worktop there were areas that simply refused dry. This meant I had to go right back to the beginning and completely laboriously scrape the entiresurface with a varnish scraper whichtook me about two more days. It’s been hell… Let’s face it- some things are not better being water-based and this is a case in point avoid it like the plague… I’m very cross! 3 days angst as opposed to one day with nitromors…the choice is yours…

It does work, but takes time.
I purchased this Paint Predator because it stated on the container Heavy Duty, just what I needed, I thought. My DIY job was stripping old paint from a staircase hand rail. It does state on the container how to apply. 'Brush apply a thick layer and leave for one hour' At the time of purchase, I didn't know that the waiting time would be one hour before the solution would take effect and I could then start to scrape the paint off. I did end up waiting for around 1.5 hours and more. This Paint Predator does work though. But very, very slowly. Towards the end of my DIY job when I had removed most of the paint, and to speed up and to complete the job. I did purchase another brand of paint remover. One which I usually use, and it takes effect in a matter of minutes. I have uploaded photos of the finished staircase hand rail. I'm just a little annoyed that I hadn't taken some photos of the hand rail with the old badly applied red paint before I started. The difference is night and day. My other half is surprised that the hand rail turned out so good. In fact, she's over the moon at the finish result.😊

Works but needs a lot of applications
It works but you need to leave it on for over an hour at least and it’ll only strip one coat off at a time. Not as effective as the old type of paint strippers but it does work eventually. I had to do 4 applications to strip some heavily overpainted copper pipes.

Not for wood
Worked well on glass paint but not on oak wood polish . Ordered to makeover dark polish to natural wood but so disappointed with the results even after 4 applications
