Loooove this chair
I originally got this as a pool chair float, but weโve actually been using it on our boat and absolutely love it! Itโs really comfortable to sit and relax on while weโre out on the lake, and the size is perfect for lounging without taking up too much space. Itโs sturdy but still easy to move around. I also really like that it gives you some support instead of having to completely lay down. It has held up great with our use so far and is easy to bring along on the boat. Love the cup holder and that itโs easy to clean. Overall, Iโm really happy with it and think itโs a great option for the pool or lake. Weโll definitely be getting a lot of use out of it this summer!

Glorious chair! โค๏ธ
Iโve purchased several Big Joe floaties because I love not having to put air in them. This Captainโs Float is by far my favorite and worth the price. I fear I will never grab any of my other ones. At first feel, I was worried it wasnโt packed with beads as much as it should be, but once I actually sat in it, itโs perfection. As others have said, it feels like a recliner chair. I like that Iโm sitting up enough to be scrolling on my phone (great elbow support) but Laying back enough to have my whole anterior side facing the sun for tanning. I also like being up out of the water a bit, personal preference as I get cold when the sun goes behind clouds. Basically, itโs the comfort that I appreciate. Even though I hold true to 5 stars, I have cons: The cup holder is pointless unless you are keeping an unopened one in it. A can is about all that would fit and it tilts towards you when you are in the floatie so having it opened would cause issues. Thereโs a pocket that would fit a phone, but the bottom of the pocket sits down in the water, so anything you put in there, would need to be totally waterproof. Storing sucks, as itโs a large floatie, but thatโs the price you pay when avoiding an air pump. Iโm in a 9โ round stock tank pool. You could fit 3 of these in here with the assumption youโll be sitting and throwing back some margaritas with a couple friends, not kicking and swimming about.

I love it.
I love this float. It's a real pleasure to lounge and drift around. It's pretty heavy when you pull it out, so maybe be careful of thrashing it, or the stitching may not last - I mean, thats a lot of strain on a stitched item. After a few floats you have to redistribute the beads back to under your knees, just bounce it and a few gentle kicks, and it'll re-fix itself. But, that being all the "complaints", (and they're really not, more like observations), I'm gonna enjoy this float a lot. Way better than an inflatable, those never last long. Might get a second one for guests. But these things are pretty big to store. We'll see.

Quality versus price
Love this float and its so comfortable in the water. However is starting to come apart at the seam and not sure if its worth the price or i just got a bad one. Have only used for 3 weeks

Faded
The color of my two big Joe floats faded within three days of being out in the sun. They went from blue to purple. This was unresolved by the company and I paid a lot for them. Iโm very unhappy with this purchase. They are comfortable, I have to give them that, but they are not color fast.

Comfortable by the pool
Love it! It's very comfortable on the deck or in the pool. The color has stayed vibrant all summer while in the sun and chlorine.

Awesome chair!
I booked down and ordered this for my husband who is picky about his pool chairs. Heโs over 6 feet so itโs harder to find something appropriate for him. He loves it! (So do I) itโs super Sunday and no need to blow up. I loved it so much, I bought the flat lounger as well. Itโs a little pricey compared to buying direct from Big Joe but harder to ship to Canada so I just gave in and spent the money. Hopefully, it lasts.

Hard to get on in the water
This item is great if you start out of the pool. Trying to get on it in the water is rough. Beads move around and it is never where you want them. Start out of the water and jump back into it.
