Simply the best!
I can certainly vouch for the Felco 2 secateurs as I now have two pairs of them! I brought the first pair for my wife 16 years ago and they have been superb. I do keep those sharp and oiled, and thatโs a pleasure to do also for such high quality items, part of the joy of owning them in fact. Problem came when we were both out in the garden and when I needed a pair to have in the van...so....looked around at cheaper items, both on Amazon and also in "real life stores" (gosh, shock, horror!). Once you have had a pair of Felcos, you really are just never going to be satisfied with anything else! So, I dug deep and splashed out on a second pair. Interesting that whilst I had kept the others in super condition, the new ones are of course amazing! The quality is still the same, the look and feel the same and yes....I even checked them on the kitchen scales to see if they weighed the same - they do! So, these are the same, top quality items that they always were. Supplied with a very, very sharp blade too โ be careful! Yes, lots of cheaper ones around, and yes these are pricey. Here you get what you pay for. However, they really do the job with ease, they are comfortable, they feel great in the hand and they are made to out last anything else you could buy. I have stuck with the model 2 on both occasions as I just like them but would be sure the others in the range would have the same qualities. I might even look to see what other products Felco do as I am a bit of a critic normally with tools and these are even up to my exacting standards! So, if you want a treat and want something really amazing that will last, then donโt hesitate, these are the top choice. A pleasure to use and own.

Buy well, buy once. Or twice, if you need two :D
I bought a pair of these for my girlfriend about seven years ago and they're still as good as they ever were. I bought Felco's diamond sharpening stone too and along with common sense maintenance I can honestly see them lasting a lifetime. My mum needed a new pair of secateurs - she has a drawer full of cheap ones, I did my best to fix them up but they're just not good, they're semi-disposable really. So I bought another pair of Felcos and she's extremely pleased. I'll keep on top of the maintenance for her but putting them side by side with a knock off pair she has was laughable. I don't really garden myself (well I do, but I don't love it!) but I like my tools and appreciate a well made precision tool when I see it. There's tools you buy for an odd job that you probably won't use again, so a cheaper one might do. Then there's tools that will be a mainstay of your longterm hobby or work and it's always worth buying the best you can, both economically and for the best results. Secateurs definitely fall into that category as they'll potentially see decades of year-round usage. The fact that the Felcos can be easily maintained, stripped down, have their parts replaced and the business end is made from extremely high quality steel (they come with a precise cutting edge that will pass the "paper test") means that for less than ยฃ50 they're a sensible investment. I use a variety of cutting tools in my hobbies and the Felcos are as good as any of them. So, don't have a drawer full of rusty blunted tools! It's a shame that people replace their secateurs when they stop cutting or functioning as they should, whether that's through lack of maintenance or just buying the cheapest ones they can. It's wasteful and a false economy. Grab a pair of Felcos, maintain them, and you'll have years of gardening joy (whatever that is!).

Felco secateurs feel very sturdy and well made
Felco secateurs feel very sturdy and well made. They have a solid, high-quality construction and are comfortable to use, making pruning much easier and more precise. They cut cleanly through stems and small branches without much effort. I also found them to be good value for the price. The only downside Iโve noticed is that the blade has started developing black blotches.

you get what you pay for
comfortable to use ( i have medium sized hands ). ive had sharper secateurs but not so well made. will outlast me however and could buy 10 cheap pairs for the price of these so its more to do with the pleasure of ownership of a classic than cost efficiency. update: After a lot of intensive use, these have lasted and are as efficient as when I bought them. They are the only secateurs that haven't lost the 'edge' or the return spring or other bits that have failed. They are, in fact, cheaper to own than all of the ones I have had before. edit 2021 have absolutely hammered these - still fine. bought a replacement blade so I can take original off and rehone it but no need to do so right now. superb - would never get another brand ( assuming I ever needed another pair ) Edit 2024: 7 years on - still havenโt needed to sharpen or change the blade In hard use on shrubs Felco - an absolute no-brainer for serious gardeners. Only choice is no 2 or no 7 or whatever

Gardeners must have tool
The best pruner I have ever owned. Ergonomically correct for my large hand and sharp and effortless. It has great leverage, durability and weight. I have consistently seen professional gardeners with this classic and asked one the brand which I subsequently purchased. Highly recommend!

Felco 2 lasts a lifetime
The Felco 2 is the absolute best. Believe me, I know. I had mine since 1996 and always use it. Suddenly I lost it last week. I decided to order a new one, and it arrived within a day. Expensive, but it is worth every cent, and when maintained well, it lasts forever. I use some very light sandpaper to clean the blades, put some oil on it in winter, and further it sharpens itself. The fact not a single part or screw changed in 29 years says enough.
