How much oats does it hold

There are two oat measurement lines inside the bowl. One for a small serving and one for a large. The large gives you a really decent portion.

I'm not fond of microwaved oats, does anyone just use it to measure perfect quantities for adding to a saucepan?

It's great for making porridge although you can make porridge in any large cup in the microwave. It has some good recipe ideas on the outside,

What are the measurements of the mug?

Max capacity (brim full) is 500 ml..... Diameter is 12 cm ....height is 9cm. Makes good porrage but the level indicators for the ingredients are not correct. Experiment!!! You could use any ceramic pudding basin when you know the ingredient volumes .p o"

Does the handle get hot in the microwave?

Not in my microwave but a lot of my other China does get very hot... would recommend this product every time.
