Yankee Advent House 2015 version

Was surprised at the size was actually bigger than I thought it would be. Had seen one in Yankee Candle shop so knew more or less what it would be like and saw tea lights that go into it so had an idea. However when getting it out of box when it arrived it seemed to have grown, will sit nicely on window ledge though to give an idea of size, width wise etc. 3D house shaped cardboard box with tea lights and one votive in it. Comes shrink wrapped so none of the nice smells come out whilst in transit or inquisitive dogs to sniff it out when delivered. Not yet had a go at undoing any of the windows (numbers yet) so not sure if a fiddle to do or not.Actually thought of buying the tealights individually but actually worked out cheaper when on offer to buy this house, plus it does look a nice advent calendar and no calories in it.For some reason it worked out cheaper buying here on Amazon than direct from Yankee and delivery was very quick.So a cardboard shaped house with Yankee candle tea lights and one Yankee candle votive but no tea light holder to go with it or votive holder but if a lover of candles already pretty sure you will not find that an issue. Something that once Christmas gone you can still burn the tea lights whenever you want to, so a gift that could last a while for someone.Just a thing to note, no tea light holder or container for tea lights to be burnt in. So could be an idea to get a small cheap one to go along with this as a gift as would be really annoying to have it but be unable to use any of the tea lights.

Bizarre idea, but it should work.My wife bought this, it is tricky to get out of the outside shipping box, which is 20 times stronger than the actual cardboard used in the 3D advent house!There are lots of little windows which you open and pop out a Yankee tea-light candle to burn somewhere else on a fireproof surface.You don't use it anywhere near this flammable box of course.I think the construction is very flimsy, but I did not and would not buy it for that price, but heh-ho.The woman rules our house.

A Yankee advent calendar is an exciting way to celebrate the run up to Christmas. The candles (essentially tealights) last long enough to envelop a room in the strong fragrances, almost to the point that multiple candles were being queued up, because they last so long!The only disappointing aspects are that the smells are too frequently repeated, making them almost laborious to burn toward the last day. Also, although the packaging is visually nice, opening one door allows you too see inside the whole thing, ruining any surprise aspect to the calendar.

Bought this for my Girlfriend's Christmas as felt we were perhaps getting a bit old for chocolate advent calendars and given the fact she loves Yankee Candles this was certainly a no-brainer! Obviously the festivities are now behind us for this year however I am sure that this product will re-appear for Christmas 2016 and for anyone stuck for inspiration for an advent calendar or looking for something a bit different I would certainly recommend. Each day/door comes complete with a candle miniature and all in all I believe there are 3-4 different "festive" scents. Makes a change to filling your face with chocolate and sweets and certainly as with all Yankee Candles the scents/smells are lovely. 5 Stars!

A very lovely, well-decorated Advent calendar with a tealight in every window, bar xmas eve which contains a votive (the taller, sampler candles)I had previously read that the tealights dont give you any indication of fragrance, (which i was disappointed to read, and yes, they are entirely blank) but was still interested to try the calendar. I now know that on the side of the house are 6 flavours that are contained and you can work out which is which by the colour of the candle.Im very happy with the calendar even if it is a bit of an indulgence!Hopefully the fragrances will be different every year as i will definitely be buying this again!

I was excited about this, but disappointed in the quality. The inside packaging of the product was so out of place that none of the candles were behind the correct windows and many had collected at one side of the house. I had to undo the box from the bottom and try to put everything back in its place which didn't hold well. I understand the inside is just plastic place holders for each candle, but it was poorly designed meaning any movement of the house (in the mail or otherwise) would leave candles elsewhere than behind a window! The quality of the candles is as you would expect and they smell good. The design inside is disappointing and means the whole concept of the advent windows is lost due to them all moving out of place.

It's exactly as pictured and has a beautifully detailed look to it. It would make a lovely gift (or you could just spoil yourself, like I did!). I know it's a touch on the expensive side, but you get 24 tea light sized yankee candles, in 6 festive scents in a box that's good enough to leave on display. The box itself is cardboard but it's good quality cardboard so you don't get unscheduled opening of days. It doesn't come with a holder. There is a gingerbread man holder from yankee candles that's lovely and goes well with it (also available through Amazon).

a good novelty item for Christmas from a well known brand name , I did not read the listing sale properly and did think it was cheap ,when it was delivered I saw why it was the 2015 advent calendar with 2015 printed on the box but it still does the same job
