Moog LPSSUB001 Sub Phatty, Black

This synth is amazing, you'll hear the diffrence after the first note you press. I've heard all of the other synths that the sub phatty competes with and none of them come close to the sound of the sub phatty. Also having lots of knobs makes programming an absolute blast. One thing to keep in mind is that very fine adjustments make a big diffrence. Spending time very slowly turning each knob will help you find all of the sweet spots. Spend some time finding the right balence of pre filter gain, multi drive and resonance. When the multi drive knob is set to 9 o'clock it produces the most amplitude, past 9 o'clock the amplitude goes down as the distortion goes up. Also, don't be afraid of all the hidden parameters, they're easy to get the hang of it and truly contributes to this synths awesome power.

A joy to make music with - tons of character and great fat sound.

I love the presets and ability to store your own. One problem with analogs is the difficulty in reproducing certain patches. Just wished it had more presets. A bit spendy compared to other analogs, but I suppose you have to expect that, on account of the name.

This is fantastic for the price and you get all of the expected Moog quality.
