Soda Siphon, 1 L

The ISI soda syphon is a stylish and healthy way to make sparkling drinks at home. The item arrived well packaged and the kit includes everything you need to make fizzy drinks including a stainless Steel cap to replace the charger holder while the carbonated drink is stored in the fridge. Having a mirror polished stainless Steel body it not only feels high quality but also looks the part on the table. I have read comments from people who complained that the water wasn't fizzy enough. This only happens when insufficient time is allowed for the Co2 to dissolve in the water or if the water isn't cold enough. Simply place the soda syphon in the fridge and once the water is chilled it is also well carbonated. The grade of carbonation can be adjusted by using one or two co2 chargers easily. It also turns wine into sparkling wine, or carbonates juices (without pulp) which is a great alternative to sugary fizzy drinks. I can't recommend it highly enough! Very pleased with the purchase.

I bought this after reading plastic has been found in bottled sparkling water. It's simple to use - but bear in mind it doesn't come with 02 cartridges so you have to buy them separately. But I wouldn't go back to plastic bottled sparkling water. Also - a little tip - it says in instructions shake 5 times after filling it with water with the 02 cartridge - you actually need to shake it a few more times than that otherwise it doesn't fizz. Also make sure the water you fill it with it ice cold.

I hate writing critical comments on Amazon but have done so here. This worked beautifully three times before the trigger malfunctioned, allowing all of the gas from the bottles to discharge straight through the nozzle without charging the tank. It’s a pity, because I liked it, but it was returned for a swift refund (thank you Amazon). It definitely isn’t worth over £70.

The good news is that the product is excellent. The bad news is that the original instructions were terrible. I’ve just had to replace mine because it broke, like many others on here, due to the old instruction booklet. The new instructions tell you to put no more than1 litre of water in. This leaves a gap at the top so the pressure is not too high. The old instructions said to fill it to the top. I had been doing this with my original one until one of the seals blew out due to too much pressure. Keep the water under 1 litre and it should work well.

Good product

This is a real quality soda syphon. It is made of stainless steel and feels very substantial . Took a couple of tries to make the soda just right, but this was my fault and nothing to do with the instructions. It is not cheap , but you will not be disappointed with the quality, and for me, money well spent.

Does not make very fizzy water, just slightly petilliant

Excellent - I was a bit unsure at first as initially I was only getting barely fizzy water. But now that I'm leaving it in the fridge overnight to get cold, and then screwing in the charger in the morning and shaking - it is working brilliantly. Quality / build/ seals etc all look very sturdy, so overall, highly recommended.

Es veu i és de força qualitat. L'aparell mereix les 5 estrelles i per aixó les hi poso, però pel meu gust les carrregues no donen el "picant" dels sifonts "Normals". No és culpa del aparell.

Tres bon produit, je met de l'eau très froide une première cartouche, je secou pendant 30/40 sec et après 15 min une deuxième cartouche. Bon resultat, leq bulleq sont fines mais on les sents parfaitement en bouche. Ideal pour cocktails. Petite remarque, je n'avais jamais utilisé ce type de produit et quand on bois l'eau nature le gaz des cartouches donne un goût particulier à l'eau. Asse etrange comme gout.

Makes excellent soda but it's cheaper to buy soda from outside. Besides initial cost, cartridges are very expensive.

Acquistato da Amazon dopo confronto con altri sifoni similari in acciaio e alluminio e quando il prezzo -troppo alto- è diminuito ad € 66,59, avvicinandosi ai prezzi degli altri venditori presenti su Amazon. Scelto quello da 1 Lt. per praticità (ci si possono fare più drinks rispetto a quello da Lt. 0,75). Scelto in acciaio perchè lo ritengo più sicuro, facilmente pulibile e duraturo. Arrivato velocissimo (in neppure 24 ore con Prime !), provato subito con le cartucce "ISI Soda" acquistate sempre su Amazon. Funzionamento semplicissimo, basta fare attenzione alle istruzioni (peccato che il manuale in Italiano allegato non le comprenda tutte). Buon prodotto, buon Seltz, bella linea estetica. Per questi motivi e la velocità con cui l'ho ricevuto, il massimo della valutazione. Prodotto consigliato Unico neo il manuale istruzioni, completo solo nella lingua Inglese, nelle altre lingue (Italiano compreso) manca delle due pagine fondamentali sull'uso e la pulizia (costano veramente tanto due pagine cartacee in più ?), potete comunque trovarle nella versione .pdf sul sito ISI .

it took some time to figure out how to use this bottle correctly. First attempt was perfect. Next few were variable, not unlike as other reviewers note. Then I read many reviews, and studied the video, and scratched my head. Agree that prechilling water and keeping bottle in fridge contributes to best results. But the most important guidance for proper use is buried on p. 9 of the instruction booklet - insert the 'measuring tube' into the bottle BEFORE filling with water through the measuring tube, and fill with water all the way to the very top of the measuring tube, i.e. until water just overtops the bottle. Because the instructions do not explain WHY you should use as indicated, I suspect most reviewers are using the bottle incorrectly. I suspect they are filling the bottle prior to inserting the measuring tube, estimating how much air to leave int he bottle, then inserting the measuring tube, then inserting the riser tube w/ gasket, then screwing on the head. When used in this fashion, you will have good results if you leave the proper amount of air in the top of the bottle, where 'proper amount' is a bit of a guessing game. Leave too much air, and the water will not properly carbonate. Leave too little air and the head will leak some CO2 during charge, also undercarbonating the water (or worse, may deflect the bottom of the bottle, as indicated by some unsatisfied customers.) So WHY insert the 'measuring tube' BEFORE filling with water? A: Because if you do so (as opaquely directed), then when you fill through the measuring tube, the 4" measuring tube will trap the precise amount of air (i.e. commensurate with design) in the bottle shoulder, behind the measuring tube, at the top of the bottle, necessary for optimal water carbonation. (Hence the name "measuring tube" - what it is 'measuring' is the correct amount of air to leave in the bottle, so you don't have to guess.) Then, when you charge the bottle, the air remaining in the bottle is exactly the amount that will be optimally charged with a standard CO2 cartridge. No guessing about the amount of air to leave in the bottle. Works perfect every time. Only took me nearly a month to figure that out.
