Balliihoo Homebrew Kit Complete Starter Set With Barrel And Co2 Control Cap

What can I say about this little kit!!!’ Just wow!!! I’ve not brewed beer since uni days 35 years ago, and bought this to relive that fun! The people at Balliihoo were lovely, and this kit is just perfect. The kit has everything you need. I still have a few of my old bits, but the “newness” of this kit means that everything is nicely designed, and works perfectly. If your looking for a starter kit - buy this one!!! I also bought the Coopers 86 day pilsner. Amazing. Don’t forget you also need 1.5kg of light brewing malt as well (instead of sugar). First batch is staggeringly good, (down to the kit - not to me). Can hardly believe how well it has turned out. Has ruined pub beer for me, as this is so much better!!!

How easy it is with this kit to get going {forgot first hydro reading so unsure what final abv% will be} everything was top standard, used the Coopers euro lager for my first run with 1kilo of brewing sugar {non of the extra coopers products} , kegged after 10 days fermentation used 80g of the brewing sugar dissolved in some water for carbonation and flushed out O2 with a 16g can of CO2 now all I can do is wait 3 to 4 weeks to try a drink

Overall a very good kit, just make sure you check the barrel before the day you need to transfer the beer (unlike me!) as the one I received has a leaky tap - there looks to be a split in the plastic. If I put the beer in now there will be none left by drinking time. I've ordered a couple of replacement taps just to be sure and it'll have to sit in the fermenter for a few more days.

Bought this product after a little online surfing. I've never made home brew before so didn't know what to expect. The product arrived as stated (or so I thought) quality seems decent and there is enough stuff to get you started (decent thermometer is required). However I discovered that my hydrometer was broken even though it had been packed well. I contacted balliihoo who without question are supplying me with another free of charge. Prompt response from them also which is also great. For the price quality and customer service you cannot go wrong. Would strongly recommend.

Everything you need; fermenter bucket, syphon hose, big spoon, sterilizer, hydrometer, funnels.. The lot. Pressure barrel works perfectly. All perfectly packed. Even got a Ballihoo pint mug which I wasn't expecting. All in all an excellent bargain. Had done home brew before and wanted to start up again. On my second batch already.

Great starter kit just have to be considerate of how many times it can be used successfully with just a sanitiser clean as the brew does taint being plastic after about 3 brews had a tip to use bleach at a 1/100 ratio to refresh

got home brew kit for Christmas for my husband I ordered it just before thinking it would not come till to late and it came on Christmas eve he is very pleased with it very easy to use and instructions easy to follow beer turned out very good also
