Vandoren "Java" Alto saxophone reeds, box of 10 - Strength 2,5

Good value for money.

I bought this reed as an alternative to the traditional Vandoren (blue packaged) reed. While the traditional reed is great for classical pieces the Java (green packaged) reed is more suited to Jazz and Pop pieces. I use a 2.5 reed and find it also works well in the Altissimo range.

Always great stuff but in the box, I found the great sound not many. the best one is only two or three! I don't know maybe just me!

Good reeds, are usually fairly on strength so don't require much filing or clipping, and play well in different styles.

First time I’ve tried Java Green reeds and so far so good.
