LEGO Dimensions: Starter Pack (PS4)

Expensive But a fantastic game if you can afford it, I bought this a few days ago along with a few expansion packs and even without those its a brilliant game to play for people of all ages, and quite a few laughs along the way, Seeing Lego Movie's Batman interact with the 'Real' Lego Batman straight from the get-go is a good start to an amusing and fun filled adventure which brings a very unique gaming experience for you to enjoy. One of the best and enjoyable games ive played in a while.

So the negative is that this is quite expensive especially with all the add on characters, level packs etc. but the positive is that this is a great game, incredibly addictive and huge fun - from the voices to the 'guest appearances' of a wide range of characters from the lego universe (Simpsons, LoTR, Ninjago, DC, Dr Who) - buying the extra characters (though as mentioned they aren't cheap) adds all sorts of new 'dimensions' to the game.. great fun for young & not so young and a must for fans of lego and console games. Great!

Paid lots of money but one part didn't work so had to get one from another seller

I bought this for myself as I suffer with depression and have been off work for most of the year. My love for LEGO has been reignited lately and building this pieces was the most focus I have had in a long time so it was theraputic. The instructions are easy to follow so if you are new to LEGO don't worry the illustrated step by step instructions are very easy to understand. The portal took my about 40 mins to assemble and it came with a sense of joy when I had completed it. The game itself is everything we love about this timeless toy so there is no real change from previous games regarding gameplay. Depending on what figures you own the worlds relating to those figures will be open to freeplay and mince around in. This pack comes with Batman, Gandalf and the girl from the LEGO movie I forgot her name but now these worlds are open to enjoy like The LEGO movie world, The Lord of the Rings World and LEGO DC world. I bought additional figures too (which are compatible with other consoles too) I got Stay Puffy mashmellow man so now Ghostbusters (1984) world is open you will need to get the remake Ghostbusters figures and level pack to unleash the movie world. I also bought the Back to the Future level pack which unlocks that awesome world. There is lots of fun to have here between building the actual sets and collecting and the actual play of the game it is fab.

First off the game is extremely fun and funny just like all of the other lego games, the one difference here is obviously the actual lego you use to play the game. If you have played previous lego games then you will know that as you play the game you unlock new characters which have different abilities which will help later on in the game, well here is the fault with this game, they could of not included the stupid dimension toy pad thing or the lego and created a great fun lego game where you unlock the characters in game, but no you have to spend in the region of £600 if you would like to have every character which IS necessary to 100% the game, which is why this is obviously a money grapping scheme from lego, its not like they need the money is it? So if you are thinking of buying this exspect to spend way too much on the extra lego

One of my all time favourite games (and I'm supposed to be an adult!) I've so far clocked nearly 60 hours on this game, and I'm still only working on the first year of characters! I'm a stickler for 100% completing Lego games and I can see that this one is going to take me a long time! I love the array of characters available for this, and love how the characters need to be moved around the portal for certain tasks and missions. I'm so addicted to this and have currently got all of the characters available (until the new releases on May 9th)

For what I spent on this, it was pretty poor, the cape was missing on Gandalf, some of the purple oval discs were missing and so were Lego build instructions! This should be stated in the description and doesn’t come in the original packaging. My child is autistic, I just hope the discrepancies are not obvious, otherwise this will be returned, as it won’t be played if there is an issue for them!

Being older and not having played with lego for years (Excludes some of the Video games) i had to grab this, i had played skylanders but this brings an all new experience to the table. many favorable characters and locations set with a very intriguing story. Building and setting up is as easy as playing any lego game plus the vehicles really add some more fun to the levels. A great buy for any lego fan and must have.
