Elixir Strings 80/20 Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings w NANOWEB Coating, Extra Light (.010-.047)

I use these strings all the time and I love the sound you get from them. The thickness is perfect for fingerstyle guitar playing and lower tunings. It makes the guitar a lot easier to play, especially once you're tuning down to a full step lower than normal or even lower still. They fit great on the guitar, the tone lasts for ages before having to restring. You can do multiple different tunings and they can handle all of it, great functionality. They also sound bright and clear.

Went for another brand recently and they were terrible compared to these. I clean my strings and fretboard with lemon oil at least a couple of times a week and the other brand barely lasted 3 weeks before they were mucky and i lost my top e at the bottom (nothing to do with my bridge, pin or how I strung them-my last strings were on for over a year). These are infinitely better quality, albeit 3 times the price of d'darrio but worth it as far as I'm concerned. So far these have been played every day since stringing up, and theres not a spot on them. They've kept their tone and clarity and stay in tune well even with a good thrashing. As long as you keep these clean they'll keep doing their job

Item arrived very quickly. I bought the strings as they were recommended by a musician friend as I have recently bought a new guitar. I have not yet used the strings but when I do I am sure they will do the job.

Bought theas because they last a while and stay in tune, but if it's tones your looking for you would probably be better off with the standard Eric Clapton acoustic guitar strings by Martin at half the price of theas elxire one

I have been using them for 7 years now and I love the sound and how they look. Will not replace with any other brand. Even when they get old they still sound good. Highly recomend.

okay so basically I always had in my head that a guitar is a guitar, strings are strings, a capo is a capo - it doesn't matter how good quality or expensive the guitar and add on's are : what makes the guitar sound good is the player. and I do believe that to a certain extent. I've had my guitar for about 3 years now - it's a really cheap martin smith one for about £70 I think it was. I bought some neon guitar strings which were fitted on and ive had that ever since, but every time I played my guitar my fingers would KILL but I play quite regularly so it shouldn't be happening and the guitar always sounded off. anyway I was at my friends house and I started playing her guitar, its an aria which costed about £200 , I sounded like 10x better, and that wasn't to do with my ability - it was the guitar. the strings were effortless to hold down and honestly my playing skills were so much better. a couple days later I went on amazon and decided to buy some new strings for my guitar and chose these. I heard really good reviews and all the pros use them. I put them on my guitar today. this is an honest opinion : they amazing quality, they fit so nicely on my guitar and my guitar is the cheapest one out there - they secure really tight in the pegs as well so you know theyre not going anywhere - playing guitar now is so much easier but also I sound so much better just from a simple change of the strings, so I do really recommend them! like go for these instead of the pack for 0.99 I see you looking at haha. I have only had these for one day so I don't know about what they'll sound like after etc. but for now seriously happy and it was worth the money :)
