Jim Dunlop 9002P Thumb Pick Medium Player Pack - White

I bought these because for the life of me I cannot get a normal plec to stop gradually spinning... These did the trick. The point is very long so I filed the point to the angles I like and bingo, perfection. Tone wise, great and they seem very durable. Totally worth the money.

Good. I have medium/small hands and these are a good fit. I like how the length is generous giving you the option of filing down the picking bit if you want. Worth the extra cost. Better fit and better made than the cheap generic rubbish. Dunlop are a good brand.

A good quality thumb pick, which I found by watching numerous YouTube videos. Yes, being made of plastic means that you can mould it using boiling water, but yes it also means that it can move around - annoying. However, mould it well and it doesn't move a lot - only for me now after 30+mins of playing an acoustic guitar. I later ordered the Large size product, but actually a well-moulded-to-you Medium product is the better choice. The only way to improve this product would be to make it from a less slippy material, such as Delrin. But if you just want a good product for a more than reasonable price - the so-called better alternatives are at least 3x this price point - then choose this one

Execellent - I prefer these to more expensive products. I have medium size hands and purchased the medium size pick. They gripped my thumb just a fraction too tight. Have tried the large size and they were too loose. I put the medium size in a cup of warm water for a short time, you can ease them to a perfect fit.

I have tried so many thumb picks over the years that I have lost count. Not knowing if these would work well for me I decided to buy them and find out. These have a definite advantage over any other conventional thumb pick I have used. There is much better contact with the string, better tone, and they are just down right comfortable to play with. They work really well and can't think of a negative thing to say about them.They just make sense when you use a thumb pick. I could never use another thumb pick after using the dunlops!! And the price... a steal

I bought these picks quite a while ago to work with my finger picks, thinking that they were only good for those complex finger-picked arpeggios. Then I learned that I could strum with these, as well. I still kept the old triangular picks for strumming, but after a while I realized I wasn't using them at all anymore. I find that the thumb pick allows the hand to play in a more natural and relaxed position, and the thumb can play more precisely by itself than a handful of fingers all bunched together. The only drawback is that upward strumming tends to grab the string, opening the pick's grip on the thumb, potentially causing it to come flying off. Strumming only in one direction seemed limiting to the tempo, at first, but it was nothing that a good delay pedal couldn't overcome. Upward strumming is still possible with a careful and shallow attack, but I don't do it. Essentially, if I'm playing both strumming and picking in the same performance, and especially in the same song, then I can't switch between finger/thumb picks and the handheld type quickly enough, so I just use the thumb pick to strum. As far as fit goes, it's just fine. I wear a medium in nitrile gloves, and the medium picks fit equally well. I'd say the sizing is correct.

Bought these for my daughter and her ukulele. She loves them!! Learning at school, she complained about having to use her finger and getting hangnails. These are much better for home and school. She’s 10 and these fit her (and me) well.
