Can you use these on top of watercolour?

Pitt pens will go over washes of watercolour if the paint has completely dried. If the paper is still wet the ink will flow and bleed into wet areas. Once dry, pitt pen ink is waterproof and can be painted over without effecting the drawing.

Do these smudge or bleed if used with promarkers?

Provided the original work is completely dry, the pens should not smudge or bleed.

I make a lot of signs with timber. Would these be suitable to use over the top of acrylic or enamel paints on the wood. Thank you

These may not be permanent enough - we would recommend paint markers such as Posca or Liquitex.

Hi Sarah, I've found that they do bleed through to the other side of thin paper (not enough to effect the sheet below) with the thicker pens, but would be fine on a heavy cartridge paper, hope this has helped!
