Great stand, good enough for gigging but check what fittings you need!
Bought after getting (and returning) a cheaper one which was garbage. I love Hercules guitar stands and this stand was no disappointment, It's sturdy and strong, the clamps are easy to use and hold it in position even with a fairly heavy condenser mic. It's plenty good enough to gig with even though it was really bought for home recording - if you need a stand don't hesitate, get this one, although when I bought it, it was apparently on sale, so a bargain at around £25.Only slight drawback is you might need to get a clamp for your mic, although the screwthread fitted the condenser mic perfectly which was what I needed, so I'm happy.

Seems like a good stand...
Having asked the question on Amazon re the stability of this stand and more particularly the strength of the boom arm fixing and receiving mostly favourable replies I decided to order it. It arrived 2 days earlier than expected so that was a good start. Having put the stand together it does seem quite sturdy and I've had a microphone attached to the extended boom arm for a few hours now and it hasn't moved. Also good! In the photos you will see a round cup shaped thing that was in the box. I thought maybe it was for placing the bottom of the main stand in to prevent it damaging the floor but it doesn't fit that and I can't find anywhere else to put it. I should be grateful if anyone has any thoughts. So far, and it is only the first day, I am satisfied with this stand.

Good Quality
Good quality Stand; 4/5 for Sturdyness; not quite as solid as my previous stand but good value for the price. Easily adjustable and looks good.

One of the best microphone stands I have bought and one cannot complain about the price.
I bought one of these when my trusty Sennheiser snapped in two about a year ago. I use it in my studio to hold my Rode NT2 microphone, which is quite a heavy microphone. This stand holds the NT2 firmly in position without the boom slipping down (like it does on my Behringer mike stand), so I decided to get another one to replace the Behringer to hold the second NT2 for when I do stereo recording. I would thoroughly recommend this stand. It is well worth the £30 price which I paid for it. Note, however, that the stand does not come with its own mike holder. If your microphone does not come supplied with its own holder, you will need to purchase this separately. (No problem with the NT2s as they come with their own cradle.)

Seems very sturdy
This is a beast of a mic stand. Just what I needed. Very easy to use. Once set up you know the mic is going nowhere other than where you want it to be. Unlike the other more flimsy stand I used to use. Hercules are a great brand. I bought a footstool with similar qualities. Worth the extra £10

Excellent stand , worth the money
Excellent stand, worth the money. I used a very cheap stand before to record at home that was very flakey and wastes alot of time fixing it to the desired position. This one is very stable and has a clever design so the arm never slips . It's very solidly built too so I imagine it will last.

Fantastic stand
As all other Hercules items, great stand, very sturdy and well worth the money. Only shame is that it doesn't come in a box with a handle like the guitar stand.

This is an excellent product. Well constructed that is typical for the Hercules product line. This particular model has a very good price point. I am using a Rode NT1 mic that is reasonably heavy and it hold the mic well. even at 80% extension of the boom arm. The weighted boom end should have a metal clip so that some users who use the full boom extension can add a small nylon bag with a counterweight for added security. As with any mic setup, it is preferable that you position one of the legs of the stand based directly under the mic weight for added assurance against tipping. I have 2 minor negatives . 1) the legs do not lock in place so you have to b e mindful that they are in position before adding you mic . 2) it would be nice if the boom telescoped so you could get another 2 feet or so in certain applications where needed. These features of course come in a m ic stand that costs about twice the price. For the price point they did a great job here and I will give them a full 5 stars. ... Enjoy this purchase ... Aaron
