How are you meant to hold it up? Will high quality artist tape work?

Hello. At one end of the material is a wide enough hem to thread white plastic water pipe through. We adapted a couple of tripods (and put fishing rod holders in the top) which holds the pipe perfectly. Easily adjustable height. This is a good way to have a potable backcloth. If you want it fixed permanently in a studio then a good tape would probably work.

Could this also double as a projector screen?

It is very light-weight - great backdrop - don't think it would make a great screen...
