Works with Dell XPS12
Works with my Dell XPS12 Ultrabook to use with HDMI cable to connect to Sony TV and watch catch-up programmes on I-player. Excellent value as price much less than purchasing direct from Dell. Read some reviews elsewhere where people had problems getting sound from the TV. I make sure TV is on and set to HDMI input before switching on Ultrabook. If done the other way around I only get sound on the Ultrabook.

Is this what you really want?
If you have an ultrabook which only has a Mini Display port and not a VGA port then you will probably need something like this to connect to a projector. However, think it through first.1. How long a lead do you need? This is only short so you will also need an extension.2. Don't you need a VGA plug to go into the projector? This is a socket so will need a gender changer.3. Is there another version of this adaptor which meets your needs? In my case there was and I could have saved money!

Works Perfectly on Dell XPS 13
Perfect. I tried a cheaper non-Dell first, but it would not work on one of the USB ports, and then this Dell original worked perfectly. I wont try and cut corners next time, and will always buy original from now on.

Check compatibility with devices - newer models of XPS13 do not have a Mini DisplayPort
This product is not compatible with the newer models of the XPS13 (even though this was bought at the same time as the laptop) so this has been a wasted purchase

Worht the cost over cheap imitations.
I've had a few mor complicated all in one displayport adaptors, in short they've all failed quickly, this i've had for a few months now and it's been soling, it's made of quality materials and works well in my msi laptop.

Dont go for cheap options....
You can find similar descriptions of this adaptor for about £4 with reviews from 1 star to 5 star. The 1 star review all claiming they did not work or they stopped working. When using an adaptor you want it to work 100%. I nearly discarded a monitor that I thought was faulty using a cheap DVDI to VGA adaptor . This Dell product was bought because I have always had confidence in Dell products. It is being used to connect an Intel NUC to a ATEN KVMP switch setup. KVM switches can be notoriously fickle when changing over between different PC's but at least I know this time the Adaptor is not at fault.

Works perfectly with my Macbook Pro Retina
I'm using this with my Macbook Pro Retina and an older Dell Bizlink DP to Dual-Link DVI adapter I had already. Works perfectly to drive my 2560x1440 display without paying out megabucks for the Apple adapter
