Everyone is different โ worth a try regardless
I'm annoyingly incapable of swallowing capsules and tablets, so seeing the pregnancy vitamin leading brand offering a liquid version helped me to get in those important nutrients early on. I don't agree that this liquid tasted like orange โ rather, the orange taste is there to mask the taste of iron (metallic), but I don't find it does a very good job. I had a pretty average experience with morning sickness for the first 3 months. I was vomiting every other day to two days in a row with the odd break. This liquid is quite harsh on the stomach, and if you're quite sensitive to scents and vomiting due to taste, like many are during pregnancy, this may be a difficult product to take. Having said that, this didn't make me vomit after taking it, unless I had an empty stomach. I got quite good at understanding that if I chugged a bottle of water shortly after waking, I would generally throw it up (much more pleasant than bringing other liquids/solids up), and then I ate something and took this not long after. At that point in my pregnancy I was only ever sick at most maybe 3 times a day. After figuring this out, I had never brought it back. Everyone will be different and various scents and tastes will trigger different people, so on that basis, I think it's worth a try. I think it's good value for money, especially when it is on offer, and it generally feels like you're doing a good thing by taking it. I would take this using a standard medicine spoon. It has a good consistency, not too liquidy, but not too thick. Very easy to take, but not the best in terms of lingering taste. Overall, I preferred this to gummies, which may be a good alternative to others if they don't get on with this product. Another alternative would be to take a standalone vitamin of folic acid for the first 12 weeks and then add in a vitamin D supplement. One thing I absolutely do recommend though, is iron and b12. I stopped taking this in the later months and did end up with iron deficiency anemia and low b12, simply due to just being pregnant, but often wonder if this might have helped stabilise my numbers a little better.

Essential Prenatal Vitamins for a Healthy Pregnancy
I recently purchased the Pregnacare Vitabiotics During Pregnancy Original supplements, and hereโs a detailed review based on my experience: Pros: Comprehensive Formula: Pregnacare provides a well-rounded blend of essential vitamins and minerals specifically designed to support both maternal health and fetal development during pregnancy. This includes folic acid, iron, calcium, and vitamins D and C, which are crucial for a healthy pregnancy. Convenient Packaging: The 30-count pack is well-suited for a one-month supply, making it easy to manage and incorporate into your daily routine. The packaging is straightforward, and the tablets are easy to take with water. Trusted Brand: Vitabiotics is a well-known and reputable brand in the health and wellness industry. The Pregnacare range is often recommended by healthcare professionals, which adds a layer of trust and reliability to the product. No Unpleasant Aftertaste: The tablets do not have a strong or unpleasant aftertaste, which can be a common issue with some supplements. This makes them easier to take consistently. Cons: Size of Tablets: The tablets are relatively large, which may be difficult for some individuals to swallow. This could be a consideration for those with a sensitive gag reflex or difficulty swallowing pills. Price Point: Compared to some other prenatal vitamins on the market, Pregnacare can be on the pricier side. The cost might be a factor for those on a budget, though the comprehensive formulation can justify the expense. Possible Digestive Issues: A few users have reported mild digestive discomfort or nausea, particularly if taken on an empty stomach. Taking the vitamins with food can help mitigate this issue, but itโs worth noting. Limited Additional Ingredients: While Pregnacare covers the basics, it doesnโt include some additional ingredients found in other prenatal supplements, such as DHA (an omega-3 fatty acid), which some expectant mothers might seek for added benefits. Conclusion: Pregnacare Vitabiotics During Pregnancy Original offers a solid and comprehensive blend of essential nutrients for pregnant women, supporting both maternal and fetal health. The convenient packaging and trusted brand reputation enhance its appeal. However, potential drawbacks include the large size of the tablets, the relatively higher price point, and possible mild digestive issues. Overall, if youโre looking for a well-formulated prenatal vitamin that covers the fundamental needs of pregnancy, Pregnacare is a reliable choice worth considering.

They are good
I feel like they are good quality and also feel comforted knowing they have the correct amount of what I and baby need on a day to day basis. However, they are big and they smell and taste awful (they smell like what the are,in my opinion, medicinal and metally) perhaps a coating or flavour would help? I am struggling with morning sickness though so my review is a bit tainted by that, but these are of absolutely no help there. ๐ I will be trying the chewy version instead, see if I can stomach that. But the brand feels good, the product feels of great quality and my midwives where happy I was on this - so I do recommend for anyone who can do very large tablets and that arnt gagging at the slightest smell. ;)

Must have for moms-to-be and beyond!
* What I loved: - Gave me peace of mind - Contains all vitamins and minerals at levels recommended for pregnancy (folic acid, vitamin D) plus loads more - Contains a pregnancy safe form of vitamin A (Betacarotene) - The added Omega-3 fish oils that are pregnancy safe (No vitamin A) and provided at levels recommended by ISSFAL - Blisters had days of the week on - Great value for money on Amazon! - Award winning and supported by The Royal College of Midwives * Things I feel could be improved: - Sizing of the tablets and capsules are pretty big - Fishy aftertaste after taking capsule * My verdict I love these vitamins. I took the Pregnacare Original before conception and for the first few months of my pregnancy. I then switched to the Pregnacare Plus in order to get the added Omega-3 oils. The capsules are jam packed with vitamins and minerals which gave me peace of mind that even though I was eating as healthily as possible, my baby and I were covered in terms of our nutrition. Our little one was born a healthy 7lb 14oz in March and I am still taking these now while I am breastfeeding! I did find that the tablets and capsules were fairly large but are tolerable as long as you drink plenty of water when swallowing. I have read that some women did find that these vitamins did make their nausea worse in early pregnancy, although I did not find that this happened to me personally. I believe that the manufacturer would not be able to reduce the tablet size in anyway due to the sheer amount of vitamins that it is packed with. As previously stated, you can get a fishy taste after taking the Omega-3 capsule, but I found that it can be significantly reduced by taking the capsule at anytime *before* you have finished your meal. 5 stars ***** I would recommend these vitamins as they help you to cover all the major bases before, during and after your pregnancy. These are also great for women who find (like I did) that they are suffering from food intolerances and aversions to foods they would have otherwise have eaten (especially fish) to maintain optimum nutrient intake. I find that these are particularly useful during breastfeeding as I am finding it much harder to eat as healthily as I did during my pregnancy as a new mum with a demanding baby!

No problems with these
Hard to say too much about these really. They arrived fairly quickly. The packaging was a little bashed up, but the product was undamaged and the seal was intact so I wasnt bothered about this. The vitamins pills are fairly big to take and you need water to swallow them otherwise they'd probably stick in your throat. The oil ones are smaller, but could also stick a bit to your throat without a good glug of water, so I'd be sure to have some on hand. Generally, they seemed to do the job, though with vitamins you never really know exactly whether they are doing everything that they are supposed to be! I'd recommend these and I will be using them again.
