Great value for money, only 1 part a bit malfunctioning
Super easy to use, great choice of parts, great quality and the tutorials were great.I had ONE issue: the sound detection module was impossible to calibrate; I couldn't get the pot low enough so even in a quiet room the digital input was stuck at "on". I couldn't find a way to contact the manufacturer to let them know this was defective, perhaps they'll respond to this comment? However, I saw how the operation of the part worked and a replacement will be cheap, so I'm not really bothered.Note that the tutorials are meant to get you acquainted with the components, not be the worlds' most exciting projects. That's ok and actually appropriate: there is so much online to really get you that next step. It's more important that Elegoo give you good quality components, clear spec sheets and a simple "how to use".Some of the tutorials were just the slightest bit confusing on the operation (I wasn't precisely sure how to wire the item), and as such I had to reference the data sheet; for example, the wiring on the PIR wasn't super clear since the project showed the front of the PIR, but the pins were on the back and I connected it backwards. However, this was minimal and actually trained me to read the data sheets, so no harm.In all, very useful. One recommendation: use the Arduino online creator in a browser instead of the IDE on your computer per the instructions. The online creator worked flawlessly (once I installed the required plugin for the browser to communicate to the board for my Mac), and it's super nice to have your sketches in the cloud.I would have liked some MOSFETs in the package - that's all I had to buy on my own, otherwise I had all the parts I needed to do almost any project I want.Next up: protoboards, soldering, and making some projects permanent! (I actually think I'm going to try to buy separate ATMega chips, because that's not very difficult to do.)In all, this kit was all I needed to go from novice to confident. And I'm sure I'll have some of these parts for a long long time, as they're good quality.

A very good item for learning and making projects
This is an amazing piece of kit, It comes with everything youd need to make a start, it is all separated in the box and the tutorial found online are very helpful, they teach you how the code works along with how to put the pieces together.it was extremely fun to use, ive managed to teach myself alot with this. you get a decent amount for the price and the elegoo uno r3 is a very good replica of the official arudino uno r3. the pieces look very modern and nothing was broken.

Great Product and collection of components.
The Uno R3 Project Box is a great option for anyone wanting to get into electronics and the Arduino. All of the components seem to be of good quality, although there were two components which had slightly bent pins but nothing that caused a problem and were easily straightened with no negative effect on the component itself.I bought the product with one specific project in mind although now I have all of the components I have thought of plenty of other projects to do.The only very minor issue I have come across so far is that the cd did not read in my drive, but that could well be either a one-off or an issue with my drive. This is not a problem though, as everything on the CD is also provided on the Elegoo website. The PDF guide seems well written and provides enough information to at least get started, covering installing the Arduino IDE, required drivers and connecting the UNO R3 to your PC. In all honesty, I haven't followed through and completed all of the tutorials. That said, having looked through them, they do cover some information that isn't necessarily self-explanatory, such as covering the usage of breadboards, resistors, schematics, wiring diagrams and Pulse Width Modulation. I think it's a good resource that would come in handy for reference should you need it. I would say that whomever wrote the PDF enjoyed doing so and gives a good amount of information on each of the points. It's easy to understand and well-written.Also included on the cd/download are the required libraries for using some of the additional modules and components so you will need to grab them and follow he instructions on the PDF for adding the libraries to your Arduino IDE.As this isn't included in the product listing above, here is a component listComponent listing:-- 5pcs White LED-- 5pcs Yellow LED-- 5pcs Blue LED-- 5pcs Green LED-- 5pcs Red LED-- 1pcs RGB LED-- 5pcs 22pf Ceramic Capacitor-- 5pcs 104 Ceramic Capacitor-- 2pcs Photoresistor-- 1pcs Thermistor-- 5pcs Diode Rectifier (1N4007)-- 2pcs Electrolytic Capacitor (10UF 50V)-- 2pcs Electrolytic Capacitor (100UF 50V)-- 5pcs NPN Transistor (PN2222)-- 5pcs NPN Transistor (S8050)-- 1pcs Tilt Switch-- 5pcs Button (small)-- 1pcs 1 digit 7-segment Display-- 1pcs 4 digit 7-segment Display-- 1pcs Sound Sensor Module-- 1pcs LCD1602 Module ( with pin header)-- 1pcs IC L293D-- 1pcs IC 74HC595-- 1pcs Active Buzzer-- 1pcs Passive Buzzer-- 1pcs RTC Module-- 1pcs DHT11 Temperature and Humidity Module-- 2pcs Potentiometer-- 1pcs Rotary Encoder Module-- 1pcs Joystick Module-- 1pcs Keypad Module-- 1pcs 5V Relay-- 1pcs IR Receiver Module-- 1pcs UNO R3 Controller Board-- 1pcs Breadboard-- 1pcs Servo Motor (SG90)-- 1pcs Stepper Motor-- 1pcs ULN2003 Stepper Motor Driver Board-- 1pcs Prototype Expansion-- 1pcs Power Supply Module-- 1pcs HC-SR501 PIR Motion Sensor-- 1pcs Ultrasonic Sensor-- 1pcs ADXL335 Module-- 1pcs 3V Servo Motor-- 1pcs MAX7219 Module-- 1pcs Remote-- 1pcs 9V 1A Power Supply-- 1pcs 65 Jumper Wire-- 1pcs Water Lever Sensor-- 1pcs USB Cable-- 1pcs 9V Battery with DC-- 1pcs RC522 RFID Module-- 10pcs Resistor (10R)-- 10pcs Resistor (100R)-- 10pcs Resistor (220R)-- 10pcs Resistor (330R)-- 10pcs Resistor (1K)-- 10pcs Resistor (2K)-- 10pcs Resistor (5K1)-- 10pcs Resistor (10K)-- 10pcs Resistor (100K)-- 10pcs Resistor (1M)-- 20pcs Female-to-male Dupont Wire(This list is taken from the Elegoo UNO R3 product page)

Great way to start learning about Arduino
Great product - really happy with this purchase. Great introduction to Arduino. The board is fully compatible with the Arduino IDE (I wasn't sure how that would work when purchasing - all works great). The kit comes with a set of tutorials and code samples. Dvd in the box, but I downloaded from their website. We are still running through the lessons - it was easier to get the IDE communicating with the board than I expected.Cord included to connect to the board requires USB A... If you have a modern Mac you may need to get get a USB A to USB C converter.Still loads to learn and experiment with. This kit has been a great way to start out and get some fundamentals figured out... Very happy this is what I chose as a starting point - a solid foundation.

Good quality, comprehensive kit.
Really pleased with this kit. Obviously not used much of it yet (which will probably take experimentation over coming months) but the Uno itself works perfectly and looks to be manufactured to a high quality (good thickness of PCB, good component placement, perfect soldering etc.) In fact, the whole kit has an air of quality about it, and, contained neatly in a case, gives a deserved impression of a well thought out experimentation set. Although a 'more mature student' (well, OK then, an old geezer), I have been interested in teaching myself the basics of Arduino for some time (not least so I have some idea of what my young, great - Nephews are talking about), and I'm confident this will fit the bill perfectly. In fact, in no time at all I was able to program the LED on the board to blink quickly or slowly. So already, if NASA ever need one of their LEDs 'blinking', I might immodestly say that I would consider myself adequately qualified for the job! The other, less tangible quality this kit has, is that when I opened it, I was instantly taken back in time (more decades than I care to remember) to the excitement I felt as a lad when I opened my first Meccano set, with the endless possibilities it promised. This kit was worth it's price for that alone! Seriously, though, this does look an exceptionally well provisioned kit of good quality at a good price which I would have no problem in recommending to others.

Absolutely superb kit for anyone interesting in learning about "bare metal" electronics
I recently bought one for my retired father as something for him to do during the Winter when he doesn't like going out as much, he loved it so much that I bought myself one. Absolutely superb beginners kit, everything you need to get started is in the box even including a 9v battery! The kit comes with a clone of the Arduino UNO R3 board, a DVD with various pieces of software and 30+ tutorials explaining how to use most the components you're given. The tutorial is in the form a PDF document that you work through, the explanations are concise and very thorough, the diagrams are very clear and easy to follow and the tutorials really give a sense of what you achieving. Having worked in IT for over 25 years and never really touched and electronic kit except in college, I found it absolutely fascinating to get right do to the "bare metal" of what makes our devices tick. I especially loved the tutorials on working with the 74HC52 data chip, actually seeing how to pulse a single byte into a chip, storing it before displaying the stored result onto some LEDs and finally understanding that's what's happening billions of types a second inside our gadgets. If you have any interest in understanding the basics of electronics I can't recommend these kits enough. Some have complained the some parts are faulty or don't work the only problems I have run into is when I've found a slightly loose connection, every single component I tried worked perfectly. When you're working at such a close level with engineering concepts and kit like this you have to have patience and work methodically to ensure that things work as they should.

Good quality starter set, plenty of kit to get started
This was a Christmas present for a family member who is a software developer and wanted to get started on electrical projects. He is knowledgeable about these things (I'm not!) and had already checked out different kits and selected this one as the best value for how much you get in the kit and how much you can make with it. Having no choice but to trust what he said being clueless what these components even are, I bought it.On arrival it was very well packaged and protected. Felt high quality. More importantly it lived up to his expectations in terms of quality which was a relief, and he enjoyed making his first projects including a car using an additional car kit I bought at the same time. He had the car built in no time... and several more projects already. I better start saving for the next kit he wants to make more complex projects!
