Now I’m a big fan of old trapper jerky and as far as big name jerky goes it’s #1 in my book with teriyaki bring my favorite. I only got 1 cuz I wasn’t sure if it was the same thing as the normal jerky and really for the most part it’s about 80% the same but the flavor is a bit lighter than the regular stuff and the die shapes are pretty thin and chewy. I think I like the regular jerky better than this but if the other kind wasn’t available I’d be very happy with this and recommend giving it a try. Now the “Beware title” what’s that all about? Well I’ll tell you cuz if you own cats maybe don’t get this. I have 3 cats and they are well behaved and usually when I open a bag they come running thinking it’s a treat for them but when they see it’s not for them they kinda just walk away disappointed. NOT THE CASE HERE!!! Idk why but the second I opened this bag the cats came to investigate got 1 smell of this and went crazy! I’m talking sitting on the couch jerky bag above my head and 3 cats trying to climb me in order to get to it. You would think I’d starve these poor cats for months the way they were acting. It’s like the whole pet owner pet thing went out the window and now I’m nothing more than a obstacle between then and eternal happiness or something. They have always been well behaved cats but they were 100% willing to go thru me to get this. Long story short I’ve brokered a flimsy peace deal between me and the cats where I rip up 3 double eagles throw em on the floor and I get to eat as many as I can before they finish. Yep this is my life hahaha but … buyer beware (if you have cats) Ps - great cat treats I guess.

Tastes good but greasy. They chew easy, not much jerk to them. Overall decent product.

I love teriyaki beef jerky. This jerky is not as hard as a brick. Old Trapper Double Eagle is a softer chew and very flavorful. Doesn't affect my dentures like other jerky. I don't know anywhere that sells this this jerky. I'm on my 5th bag. Great for taking on the road or to the beach.

I started buying these because they remind me of the beef jerky rounds you use to get as a child at the gas station for 25 cents each. These are way better in taste as a plus size. Now they are not as good as home made sliced jerky but they scratch that itch of the old days. Relive those memories with a tasty treat

On my 3rd bag of these addictive things. Expensive but really good. Perfect filling snack. Better than regular jerky. These medallions are all the same. No gristle n such like jerky. These are terrific.

The flavor is fine, but the texture leaves much to be desired. On top of that, every third "puck" or so there is a piece in the jerky that is entirely unchewable.
