Worked perfectly.
The photo is my old Switch and the type of whirlpool stove I have. You can see the black smoke mark inside where it was busted. The part was identical. Perfect fit. Highly recommend.

Easy peasy repair
Works great, still good months later. Just had to snip a lil off the end of the rod with some pliers because it was too long like some others said and the knob popped right on.

Works
Not exact replacement for my stove as the numbers say but it plugs right in and works properly. It just doesn't get quite as hot as the original. The amperage is a bit lower. The only problem is that I have to relearn my burner settings on the stove I've been cooking on for 25 years. All in all it is a good value and easy replacement for us do it yourselfers.

Matches Whirlpool OEM Spec for part #WP3149400, replaces my 3148954 switch
After a good amount of research, I decided to buy two of these switches to replace 2 failing 3148954 switches on my Whirlpool RF263LXTB Range, and I am quite happy with them, for the following reasons: 1.) I checked Whirlpool's official catalogue and part 3148954 (the original OEM switch for my range, rated at 10.0-11.5a, 240v) has been replaced by Whirlpool with part 3149400 (which is rated at 8.9-11.0a, 240v). 2.) This part is an aftermarket part which, based on the markings, appears to be made in the same factory, and is compatible with 3149400, which is the replacement for my switch. 3.) The quality is good - I had no concerns with the construction of these, they look and feel like a solid OEM replacement. Some things to keep in mind, however: 1.) For some ranges (such as mine), YES, you will need to shorten the knob stem by breaking off the end. It is very easy to do and is made like this from the factory. The final ~3/8" of the knob stem has a break-off point - there is also a black spring-steel tension clip on the stem. To do this, you'll need to: (a) First remove the tension clip (using a fingernail or with a gentle prying motion with a screwdriver or other small prying tool) (b) Then, using 2 pairs of pliers (and perhaps a folded paper towel around the stem, closest to the switch, to avoid any scratches to the stem), grasp the base of the stem & the end of the stem and bend gently to 90 degrees - the end will simply snap off cleanly as intended from the factory, shortening it for your range model. (c) Lastly, re-attach the tension clip by pushing it back onto the stem at the lower position, this will keep the knob in place later when it is re-attached. 2.) Because of the factory (OEM) item number change/replacement, it appears as though this switch is made to be a single replacement for multiple other models of infinity switches - with the reduction in its electrical rating, you can tell that this switch is likely meant for 8", 2400w burners. My original is an 8", 2600w burner. In my opinion, this is perfectly OK - it saves energy and puts slightly less thermal wear on the burners (possibly a factor in why Whirlpool changed part numbers), but it should be noted since it also means that if you were used to the older switches & wattage, this new switch will mean that your burners will heat slightly (~7-8%) more slowly. Overall however, I'm happy with these and they have been working well for about a week at this point. Best of luck, and hopefully this helps!

An easy fix to a common Whirlpool Stove problem, a couple of screws and problem fixed

Works fine, but
Switch works fine, but double check your burner. It's not obvious when they burn out, and the wire is broken. This was my problem.

Compatible? Yes, spec-for-spec replacement? No. Product rated @ 8.9-11.0A. OEM was 10.0-11.5A.
Most importantly per title - this product is rated at 8.9-11.0A compared to the 10.0-11.5A rating of the OEM part that was being replaced (Whirpool 3148954). That means the large 8 inch range top will likely perform not as hot as before. Also, specification information such as this should and must be identified as part of the main product description instead of having to be asked as a question and responded by the seller(s). As mentioned by others, the knob stem was too long for mine but snapped off the very front portion, took out the new black metal clip, and replaced the clip with the original one from the old unit as the knob with the new clip was too loose and slid out easily. Old black clip provided nice snug fit. Price was very good compared to Whirpool's genuine replacement part. Just replaced it, so we'll see what its longevity is. Considering that the range/oven is about 16 years old, the lower Amp rating of this product is not a total deal breaker, but if I had caught that info before ordering it in the Q&A area, I likely would not have bought this particular one from Snap Supply.

Good replacement
This particular switch has failed on my stove twice now. They install easily but I get tired of changing it. The other burner controls have worked fine and they are all different so not sure what the scoop is on this particular one. I'm hoping this one will last a bit longer.

Been installed now for a month for all 4 burners and all works Perfectly. A simple install and the best part is that the price is like half price compared to my local appliance stores.
