Adult Learning: Linking Theory and Practice 1st Edition

I really love this textbook! I used it a lot in the course, and I still use it in my current job. It has so many useful ideas, frameworks, and examples. Also, the Merriam and Bierema do a fantastic job of explaining all of the concepts in the book. This text is useful for students, professors, and course-designers in any field.

Rented this through Amazon text book! I was a bit Leary as I had never rented books before but it was an awesome experience! Would highly recommend renting books for college if you can get away with it because it saves you ton of money and you don’t have a pile of door stops in your house.

As with most readers, I read this as a required text for a college course. It took patience. The material is scattered, and the assumptions and claims are not always supported by current research. It's readable at an undergraduate (and probably high school) level, so it's accessible. Unfortunately, it just isn't very enlightening.

If you are looking to learn about adult learning this is definitely your book! It is written in a way that helps guide you through all the principles and theories surrounding Adult Learning.
