They didn’t really clamp onto the bulb as I expected but they did work. Used in a 2011 Dodge Charger with Vland headlights and chopdark led bulbs.

Didn’t work for my VW Touareg

I have an older Mercedes SUV with D2S bi-xenon headlights, AFS adaptive lighting, and cornering illumination. Invariably, the bulbs retaining clips either get misplaced or forgotten when the bulbs get changed, often resulting in intermittent electrical connections. In most environments, the lack of a retaining ring wouldn’t be an issue, but due to the extensive network of unpaved and sometimes poorly maintained roads where I live, it can become a problem. These retaining clips use a spring tab mechanism to keep bulbs in place. They work, even when subjected to unplanned wildlife encounters (yes, that just happened to me recently). These retainers are made from high quality materials. Installation is easy once you get to the bulb housing itself. Keep in mind that these retainers will only work with bi-xenon projectors that have four notches. The silver reflective materials behind the bulbs improve light projection and looks good while doing so. In all, the retainer rings fit well and they save bulbs too. From a value perspective, they pay for themselves the first time they prevent a bulb from separating from its electrical connection. In that, they are worth their very modest cost. I will order them for my other Mercedes SUVs, too.

These retainers are a great replacement for various HID style bulbs. They fit just like my original retainers. Just make sure to verify fitment before purchase. They are great for the price.

Stock clips fit just fine, it is unnecessary to sell these new clips with the new light bulbs. These easily break as well.
