THINKPAD X200 ULTRABASE

Believe it or not, I tried to buy this product directly from Lenovo not long after I bought the laptop and they no longer carried the UltraBase. They gave me a 3rd party web-site to buy it from but the Amazon price was cheaper. Got a good deal and the product was new in the box and worked as expected.

Look in the used section first, I got one with a dvd drive and a key for under $30 not the list price of $90. Otherwise a great product and very handy on my desk.

I like having a docking station for this size laptop. It is nice to have everything set up on a desk so I can just push it down and all of a sudden have a desktop. It is great for turning a small, light, mobile laptop into a multi-monitor desktop. I hate having to transfer filed from one computer to another but this gets rid of the need for a desktop so I don't have to work about that anymore. It has a battery charger on the left hand side that really comes in handy. I have two batteries for my laptop for long days and I can charge both at the same time.

I am using this on my X201 Tablet.Bought it mainly to use at home with the Thinkpad Ultrabay 9.5MM Slim Blu-ray Burner II.It also adds 3 additional USB ports and a DisplayPort, which comes in handy for viewing movies on the TV.I think brand-new it's a bit pricey for what you get, so I bought a second-hand one through Amazon. Worth getting if you can find one at a cheap price.

I found it kind of ridiculous it didn't come with a key so that I can lock the station down I had to an older one as well so I bought a new one and it didn't have a key either so I'm wondering can I find a small key to use and make it work or how the hell do I even get a key for this exact docking station and it did not show in the description that she was not included it should have said something about how to get a key or where to get one so I have no idea my docking station and laptop computer does not sit completely black because I cannot lock it with the key so that's my review I should have been told or there should have been some kind of description making a note of this

It was shipped the docking station - but no key or power adapter! The unit is useless without the power adapter (as my laptop (T42) adapter won't fit). This product listing should be updated to clearly state that a power adapter is *not* included, and the image of the power adapter should be removed. It's very deceptive to have that image included in the listing. Also this unit does not fit onto my T42 laptop. I want a refund or the correct product.

Item did not include a DVD driver or player.When looking at the ones we already have expected it to be included.
