Why is the product yellow in the bottle instead of clear?

I noticed this also, my guess is that the formula has been changed. Might I suggest calling the Corp customer service, I believe the number is on the package. I called last summer & they were very helpful. I have started using another product after using this for decades. Lastly was it exposed to extreme heat or sun light ? Hope this helps.

Does it need to be removed like nail polish?

I remove it with nail polish remover. It will wear off over time if not maintained as directed.

Does this dry to a lacquer finish (like nail polish)?

It dries to a sheen that looks like you buffed your nail. It’s definitely not matte but not too shiny like polish.

Is your brand cruelty-free?

I don't know the anwer, but isn't worth they money. This product doesn't work.
