Perfect fit works great really delivers a lot of air
Nothing to dislike about this blower so far its somewhat adjustable its compact fairly quiet and it works with my variable speed control so I can turn the air down pretty low and not blow fuel out of the fire box so far really happy will probably buy another in the future for a gas forge

Great Fan, Classic & Nostalgic industrial look,
As you can see, I have used this fan in my custom Charcoal Grill that I have made of an excavation bucket because life is short, so why NOT?!?! It works great. I got a fan controller to adjust the speed which is worth it.

Coal forge blower
I got this blower a couple weeks ago and have forged with it a few times since then. It will definitely work for your average blacksmith using coal. I’m using it to replace a champion 400 hand crank and it outperforms that despite a lower CFM rating. Unless you’re running an enormous forge this will produce enough air for you. At the highest setting it will almost blow the fire out of the fire pot.Speaking of power, I’d highly highly recommend this blower be installed with an electric variable speed control. Properly tuned in, it will just maintain the fire and be literally silent at the lowest level. You could use a blast gate or just the choke on the blower itself, but I think you’re sacrificing performance if you do.I struck one star from this review because despite being cast aluminum the blower feels fairly cheap, and I’m not sure how long it will last. The impeller and motor inside are slightly under engineered compared to squirrel cage fans in the same price range, but the upside of choosing this is that you’re getting an actual centrifugal blower instead of a fan. I’ll see how long it lasts, but right now it works well and I’m happy with the purchase. This is the cheapest real forge blower on the internet as far as I know.

Works great on new built forge!
The media could not be loaded. The Blower is working very well on my newly built forge. Has all the power and flow needed to run a forge chamber that is 8"x8"x18" fed through 1.25" pipe. Only thing I don't liked is the on/off switch is plastic, it's far enough away so it won't melt but would have like a metal one.One year update: Blower stopped working last week, almost right at the one year date. Won’t re-purchase. Just not enough longevity for me.

Great forge blower for a good price.
This blower is awesome so far. I have a 4.5 inch deep firepit and burn bituminous coal. My god the gates of hell are in my forge now. The body does feel a bit chincy maybe and some of the components are a bit lightweight but for the money I dont feel the least bit jipped. Get a rheostat and an airgate you will need both. Also dont forget to make a dripper can if you are burning coal... unless you enjoy attempting to forge on 3-4 foot flames. I will update on the quality in a few months.

Not functional on delivery
I plugged this blower in and ran it for about 5 minutes before it started to overheat. By the time I noticed the overheating, it had melted the sticker labels on the housing of the blower and it stopped operating. Smoke was coming out of the housing, so something internal fried as well. Because of the return policy, Amazon only gave me an approximately 3/4 refund, which was disappointing. This product has a lot of good reviews, so I have to assume that I just got a dud. I'm going to try ordering this same item again since it is one of the better options online. If this next one works as it should, I'll come back and edit this review.

Great for a cupola furnace!
This blower is an absolute beast! At first I tried to use it for a forge but it had too much power for that, I ended up sending pieces of coal all over the place on low, with the intake closed, and the tuyere ash dump open, so I stuck it on a small blast furnace and it was fantastic! My only complaint is that it was cast rather cheaply, there are sharp edges and burrs at the intake and the outlet that should've been sanded down after shakeout at the foundry, but that's not anything critical as the sharp points are nowhere near where you'd want to put your fingers for normal operation regardless.I will be ordering several more of these for a much bigger iron foundry, they've definitely got the operation, power, and relatively low weight to be perfect!
