Counting on Fall (Math in Nature, 1)

This book is adorable with a fun story that has engaging, interactive math activities throughout. The illustrations are so cute. As an early childhood educator, I will use this book a lot.

Story was good, but not for children under 7 years old because the math concepts are too difficult for younger children. I used the book to introduce a lesson on fall, it focuses more on animals of fall than the aspects of fall.

Love this book. It has a great cadence in its rhyme, and the beautiful illustrations are the source of the sorting, counting, and grouping problems for your kids. Enough easy counting for my 3 year old, and harder concepts for my 5 year old (i.e. counting to 100 by 2's). Great book.

Such a cute fall book. My four year loved it. I ordered it for part of our fall homeschool project.

Great for counting with 1st and 2nd graders! However, it doesn't do a very good job of introducing the topics/characters of the book before counting starts; which can make it a little boring for the kiddos.

Bright vibrant pages. A preschooler favorite.

I lIke this book

I bought this in hopes of helping my kindergartener who is struggling with numbers/counting and I was extremely disappointed upon its arrival. This is not a teaching tool, but rather a cutesy means of practicing concepts with a child once they've been covered. It was way over the head of a five-year-old, and we both quickly tired of the lazy poetic story-writing. If I had the ability to see inside I never would have purchased this. Fortunately it was inexpensive, so I will put on the bookshelf for a couple of years and maybe utilize it once he's old enough to practice the concepts. Definitely won't purchase any other products. Live and learn.
