FireAngel FA3820 Portable Carbon Monoxide Detector/Alarm, 10 Year Battery

Good simple CO monitor that is reliable and last several years. This is the second one we have had.

Works really well, easy set up and you can move it about if you need to, it sits at the back of our woodburner, its piece of mind safety for the family.

Good size and price. Easy to set up. Alarm has good clear sound when tested. Hopefully I won’t hear it for real. Only negative thing is that the flashing light to say is working could be a little brighter. Otherwise a good product.

Good value

Very smart little unit with a great recommended brand name, it's just another " peace of mind " bit of equipment that you hope is never activated. the test button is easy to use and lets off a sharp loud noise that is different from the smoke alarm mounted near it. A 10 year battery life is excellent for the continued protection that this detector gives, to pass the BSS on boats its the law to have one fitted, should be the same for homes. IT WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE AND LOVED ONES should any carbon monoxide be detected.

10yr sealed battery, and slots straight back on to the screws from the one it's replacing. This meant I was able to replace an older one in literally 2 minutes, including removing the packaging. Very loud too!

The unit arrived promptly and the only niggle was the fact that it is designed to be mounted onto a wall with two screws, no mounting bracket is provided. With misguided optimism I hoped it would fit on the existing bracket in our motorhome as the unit is made by the same manufacturer as the failed one and almost identical dimensions. Alas no, so I ended using adhesive Velcro to the existing bracket, which works well as it is very light. Saved me drilling holes in the van.

The fixing screw holes are very small, the previous models had proper size, also the volume is not too loud ( hopefully just the test is this quiet)

Hopelijk nooit nodig te hebben maar apparaat voelt prima aan en makkelijk in gebruik. Je kan hem ophangen of neerzetten.

Compact. Clear instructions. Easy to install. Like any similar alarm, almost impossible to know whether it really works since it does not give a realtime measurement of CO concentration. But since I have not been affected by CO poisoning since installing it, I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.
