I have other NEEWER products and have always found them to be excellent. This continues that experience.The head is easy to use and feels well-engineered with a smooth action and easy-to-use controls. The fact that the shoe itself can be detatched and fitted directly to the camera is a big plus that is not always a reality of tripod heads. It works well, if perhaps not quite so instant as those that lock in the shoe with an over-cam lever action, but at this price point I would not expect that. To put that in perspective I once sold my well-used example of such a head from a famous manufacturer for more than this head cost brand new. This is super value for money.The mounting is stable and has no play, with excellent grip. It is an easy five out of five!

*Low Profile Ball Head*I was looking for a suitable mount to attach my Fujifilm X-T2 camera to a monopod, and this ball head has proved ideal. It's simple, lightweight and locks solidly. Unusually, both the head rotation and ball angle are clamped with the same bolt, and that was a big attraction to me, in my quest for simplicity and lightness.Quality of construction is excellent, and the only plastic I can see is the ball socket liner, as I would expect. The friction can be finely adjusted from rock solid to smooth movement whilst retaining support, and this is important in avoiding equipment damage. Not all ball heads work this smoothly, and there's certainly a feeling of quality about this head.A large part of the attraction for me is the Arca Swiss compatible clamp, which will secure a standard 37mm wide plate. I use my camera with an additional hand grip attached, and the base of that is Arca Swiss compatible, so in my case I can mount my X-T2 directly to the ball head, which is very handy. For everyone else, the ball head comes supplied with a small plate that can be attached to your camera.Most importantly, I trust this ball head with my expensive equipment. For my ASPC Fuji camera it's perfect, and definitely solid enough for tele zooms up to 300mm. Whilst best suited for lighter cameras I'd also rate the ball head for full frame too, provided your lenses are light weight. For those really long pro or old school metal body lenses though - especially at full frame - I'd probably opt for a chunkier ball head than this one. But I shoot mainly with a mirrorless Fuji camera because I enjoy the compactness of the system, and the amazing image quality. So for me, this ball head is absolutely perfect, and - unusually for me - I really can't think of how it might be improved on.High praise then, and full five stars. Purchased at just under twenty pounds, and strongly recommended.

Quit compact and smooth to turn. A bit tricky to take off the shoe plate for another model with level bubbles.

I bought this to replace a failed tripod head and didn't know what I missing out on. Upon use I learned that is very high quality construction, consisting of all metal parts including the latches and knobs. The ball and swivel function are very smooth, lock into place firmly and are satisfying to use. I'm very happy with the value/quality of this ball head and strongly recommend!

Hello...this ball head is spot on, feels very solidly built with a good surface finish and everything tightens up soundly due to the metal knobs and screws. The ball movement and 360 rotation are smooth without any clicks or jumping. I would definitely recommend for its price and construction...Bye

I was looking for a ball head to mount on a slider rail, so it needed to be lightweight and low profile. This Neewer head feels very well made indeed, and with a stated Max Load of 10 kg it is easily able to securely support a DSLR. For the price it's fantastic value for money.

This is a really excellent small lightweight ball head. Very smooth and positive action and locks. If this is the style of QR plate you use then buy this head, I can’t think of a better one in this category. Some people may not like that the ball movement and pan base are both locked by the same lever, although I don’t find this a problem.

I've purchased two of these. They are very sturdy. Smooth rotation and very stable. The top plate is held firmly with just a gentle turn of the know. I fully trust them to hold my cameras.

Ho comprato una testa per sostituire quella del treppiede che avevo appena acquistato e che con una DSLR produceva motion blur (no, proprio un'immagine fantasma) anche con lo scatto temporizzato, a meno di non pre-abbassare lo specchio. Con questa è la prima prova che ho fatto, superata appieno anche con tempi di oltre un secondo in intenzionale sovraesposizione. Inoltre, dettagli nitidissimi, segno di una stabilità molto buona. Certo non è una testa Manfrotto da 200 euro, ma fa egregiamente il suo lavoro.Il serraggio deile tre viti richiede poco sforzo per la ruvidità della testa e il giusto passo della vite dello sgancio rapido della piastra. Il peso non è indifferente, ma piuttosto che la leggera plasticaccia dell'altro (https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B078XQPHP3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) preferisco di gran lunga il peso di questa testa, che contribuisce a dare una buona sensazione.Eccellente anche l'estetica.Confermo che il panning è un po' duro, ma a me interessa il giusto, visto che non faccio riprese video.Ho una DSLR Canon 7D con un obiettivo zoom 24-180 non proprio leggerissimo, sospetto che sia molto di più del 90% delle DSLR consumer che vedo in giro, come peso da sostenere. Ho comprato altri articoli dello stesso venditore, è materiale per hobbisti, ma siamo su un livello superiore, eccellente qualità/prezzo. Consigliato.

Bought a couple of this for the Manfrotto Pixi tripods, in order to give a bit more angle adjustments to the Neewer LED lights … feels pretty hefty and solid for the price I paid. The locking feels secure , and it comes with arca mount, which is convenient as I am switching over to arca

livré très rapidement, l'article est parfaitement fonctionnel et conforme au descriptif . Fonctionne en Arca Swiss, ce qui n'était pas explicite dans la notice promotionnelle . Semble assez résistant car promis pour une charge de 10 kgs, mais non encore vérifié à cet instant . la vis de blocage de la boule est super pratique et les diverses rotations sont fluides, y compris le panoramique . à vérifier dans le temps, mais je suis satisfait du produit actuellement.

Buen producto, facilmente soporta la camara, incluye el adapatador de 1/4 a 3/8 para la base del cabezal pero no incluye una llave.Les recomiendo que al momento de ponerlo en una cámara o ajustar en una posición se aseguren que no tenga movimiento el cabezal porque da la impresion de que le apretaste lo suficiente pero en realidad te falto un poco y se va deslizando muy suavemente, entonces si tu equipo es pesado trata de hacerle mas fuerza, supongo que pasa eso porque es de metal el apriete y se te resbala de los dedos.En si es un buen producto de NEEWER
