I've always been a huge fan of Tales Calculated to Drive You MAD, and this book contains several color comics from this as well as the black and white 'cultural commentary' comics from later on. This was one of my favorite purchases from desertcart so I thought I should write this review. Review: good condition- great service - Thank you for the great service, delivered on the 19th so sooner than expected. The product looked new so that was very nice, he had no idea it was not a new product. I only wish I had been able to add a gift note but it wasn't offered during purchase. This went to my 80-year-old brother who loved MAD magazine in his youth. It was a blast from the past and it has made him happy.

I'm not mad about this great buy!

good condition- great service
Thank you for the great service, delivered on the 19th so sooner than expected. The product looked new so that was very nice, he had no idea it was not a new product. Walk Down Memory Lane
I'm old enough to have bought Mad Comic #1 and the first issue of Mad Magazine. What a wonderful treat it was to see so many fondly remembered reprints from my youth. They're every bit as funny and entertaining as I remember. FYI: My mother threw them out after I left home.

two different versions
I almost didn't buy this great compilation because of a reader's complaint that the pages were a shrunk-down, truncated, hard to read 4"x6". But the copy I bought is a different version, with a different cover (Alfred E. Newman carved on Mount Rushmore) and published by the Quality Paperback Book Club. My copy is a full size 8.5"x11". The reprinted material is complete, not cut off in the middle of an article, and several pages are in full color. It was a real treat.

Perfect for true MAD fans
Excellent shape (square is my favorite) Seriously, the book is in excellent shape and was shipped with a quickness. This is an excellent compilation of old school MAD (no fold-ins, though). Just the vintage cover is entertaining. All the old MAD insane genius. Obviously some(many) of the references will be lost on newer humans, but this is necessary for any MAD collector who doesnt have the resources to purchase the actual past issues.
