I Didn't Buy This ...
No, instead, our 3 year old (that was supposedly napping) one click purchased this gem of a product four years ago. I was surprised at the delivery and profusely thanked my husband because we'd been staring at cold brew pots for months. He told me he hadn't made any Amazon purchases. We concluded that our little technology guru obtained a device during nap time and went ahead a made the purchase for us. We kept it rather than going through the hassle of returning. It has been fantastic. The grating on the mesh cylinder is perfect. If you like your iced coffee strong, I find the absolute best can be made with Community Coffee & Chicory or French Truck Coffee & Chicory. I do hold the bottom when the carafe is full as to not stress the handle too much. I do not overfill my mesh cylinder with coffee because it can be messy. I like for my grinds to sit for a couple of days for a full bodied infusion.

Best Customer Service and Best Product!
I have been using my LaTable ColdBrew maker daily for quite sometime and then one day, tragedy struck; I went into my fridge to grab myself a shot of coffee and noticed that my liquid gold was everywhere at the very bottom of the shelves! I noticed a huge crack near the bottom of my cold brew carafe. I was severely disappointed.I thought about how I still had the original box that the coldbrew maker was enclosed in, found the contact information which was provided, and sent the company an email inquiring about the possibility of receiving a new carafe.I received a prompt reply from the company within the hour and to my surprise, was told that I’d be receiving a brand spanking new one! -This is the best customer service I’ve ever had!As far as functionality of the cold brew maker itself, it’s quite easy to use: I tend to add about 12-15 scoops of coarse coffee to the filter and for a little pizzazz, I like to add cinnamon and or cayenne. You can also use vanilla extract, rosemary... maybe even mustard? You’re the one that’ll be drinking it!In conclusion, I love this product and recommend anyone that is a coffee connoisseur to purchase this product to save you money in the long run. To add, it’s extremely easy to clean. Just be very careful of handling it, treat it like it’s your baby and consume as much as you want... -at your own risk! ;)

Cracked after a few days
Updated on 10/19/2018: As you can see the owner of the company, Michael, replied to my original one star review. He also emailed me. He gave me a complete refund and shipped me a second unit free of charge. I am tentatively changing my one start review to a four star review. I have my second batch of cold brew steeping in my refrigerator now. Hopefully it goes better than the first. I would give La Table Chic a 5 star review for customer service and standing by their product and customers. Due to the fact that the original item made a horrible mess in my refrigerator I can't quite give the product a five star review. Perhaps I'll change that if the product last a long time. For now based on the customer service I'm making this a four star review.Original review:Still holding my first batch of cold brew coffee the carafe cracked at the base after tapping another glass container in my refrigerator gushing coffee everywhere. I have never had a glass product break that easily. It is too bad, because it did make great cold brew. I won't be buying anything else from this company though. I'm going to try one of the competitors hoping their glassware is more sturdy.

I AM My Own Barista!
Finally! I'm in charge of my own coffee bidness! I have spent SO much time & effort, not to mention cash, on trying to figure out my favorite coffee & tea drinks. Weening off the corporate coffee places (and the addicting rewards programs!), was easy having this Cold Brew Maker at home! Set up in the fridge overnight, BOOM! Ready in the A.M. to drink cold or heat up. Love the flexibility and lack of necessity to always go OUT for a fix!HOT TIP: Don't fill the filter too full, because then it takes forever for the water to seep through. Fill with coarse ground coffee or tea up to the 48 oz. line or the top line, then there's plenty of room for water to seep through. The carafe is a good quality glass, no fear of breakage. The shape is great for maximum liquid without taking up a lot of valuable fridge real estate. Lovely to have the oz. measurements marked off; but seriously! Why bother making any LESS than the maximum amount in this gem of a coffee or tea maker? Totally happy with this purchase!Pictured are a few of my (mostly) healthy milk & sweetening options. Never used to drink more than half & half w/strong espresso. Got hooked on sweeteners thanks to those corporate coffee mongers! Trying out many alternative sweeteners and milk; finally settling on lightly sweetened soymilk or unsweetened soymilk w/vanilla. EnJOY!

It works but has plenty of room for improvment
It does its job but I think it has room for improvement. First off the glass is pretty thin. I don't really expect it to last very long considering how thin the glass feels. Next, the rubber for the seals is very very thin. I can't imagine this holding up with regular use very long but we'll see. Finally, its hard to make it as strong as I'm used to. You can basically fill it with coffee and fill it with water and tomorrow you get a drinkable cold brew. Problem is its not very strong cold brew and there's not much way to make it stronger without maybe letting it brew at room temperature instead of in the fridge. I'm going to try that next. The mesh filter leaves fine sediment in the brew regardless of how perfect your grounds are so your last cup tastes different than your first cup because of the sediment. I'll be running it through a paper filter in the end now to get rid of the excess sediment. Its convenient and it does its job. If it were made less dainty and had a larger sieve so I could make a nice strong brew I'd give it more stars.
