Sanitaire Extend Canister Vacuum SC3683D

I did a bunch of research and this is very similar to the Eureka Mighty Mite. It has the same motor amperage and It uses the same bags and it looks almost identical, but it comes with very high quality accessories. The telescoping metal wand is great. It makes it extremely easy to quickly move from surface to surface. The wand feels hefty but it isn't too heavy and it is by far the best wand on any vacuum I have ever used. The soft brush tool is also really nice - the bristles are very long and I feel very safe using it on delicate surfaces like wooden furniture. The multi floor tool is also fantastic - one setting lifts it about an eighth of an inch so that it works well on hard floors. The shoulder strap is also really nice to have - making it very easy to vacuum ceilings without lugging around the canister. The vacuum itself has great suction. There was a hidden corner under a cabinet that had a bunch of broken glass in it and it sucked it all up, so it definitely has a lot of power. I have a dog with long hair and it works really well at picking it up. The small plastic tool is the only one that I don't really like - it works but the dog hair gets stuck on little brush and I have to remove it and suck the hair off (the bigger multi floor tool doesn't have this issue; some hair gets stuck to it but it seems to have a better design). I probably wouldn't recommend this to someone with large carpets or rugs as it doesn't have a rotating brush/head. This does not come with a HEPA filter but you can buy one that snaps onto the end behind the motor - I don't have allergies but this is a nice feature should I ever need one.

I love this vac, and got one for my daughter too. Darn near enough suction to yank the rings off your finger!

This little vac has so many models, the company has changed hands many times over. This one has the telescoping metal wand my last one had (but that one was a Eureka Mighty Mite). This one also has the option to get a hepa filter attachment (on my last one it came standard). My daughter took the Eureka to college, and I missed it so much I had to get another. There is supposedly tool storage in the end, but it doesn't seem to fit any of the tools. There is a three pronged tool holder that slides onto one of the slimmer wand ends, it is a really tight fit, almost like it is too tight, but it didn't break, so we'll see how it holds up. The tools will probably fall off this holder during use with a bump, but so far so good. This has SUPER suction. And is very light. I like the shoulder strap for stairs. Or when you need to reach higher. Great vac. Bags are supper easy to remove and replace.

Nice canister vacuum. It has worked well so far and the suction is still very strong. I love the HEPA filter attachment. It sucks up pet hair and extends nicely under furniture, etc. I recommend the bristle/hair vacuum attachment for hard wood floors. It is more cumbersome than a regular stick vacuum, but this one handles pet hair with so much more ease... I also like that the vacuum bags are completely removeable - it seems cleaner than having to dump out a canister from a stick vacuum.
