Good value and the waterproofing is absolutely fine. I use these to monitor the temperature of my brewing process: the stainless steel enclosure is the the right size for a 6mm thermowell but I just lob them straight in. The cable is PVC so not really suitable for direct contact with foodstuffs, so I thread a length of silicone tubing over it (4mm inner diameter is ideal, such as https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CYPHPNPZ)
