Sierra Helmet, Flat Black LG

I had an issue with my first order because the size I picked didn’t fit me correctly, so I had to exchange it. Once I got the right size, though, I was really happy with it. The helmet looks great in person and the flat white finish gives it a really clean look. It feels solid, the interior padding is comfortable, and once properly fitted it sits securely without feeling awkward. Visibility is good and it doesn’t feel excessively heavy on my head. Definitely make sure you check the sizing carefully before ordering, but after getting the correct size, I have no complaints. It looks awesome and feels like a quality helmet.

In my opinion, this helmet hit a home run. I've only had it for a few weeks but the quality seems to far surpass the value. I like the silver/gray color scheme a lot and I love the sun visor. I do wish it had more vents since I live in the heat but it's fine. There is some wind noise but I think that's the nature of the beast. Sometimes there are sacrifices for such a low price but I just don't see it in this particular item. Update#1 As an addition, I am a tweener at 23" - between MD and LG - so I went with the LG. I got it, I wore it around the house and it felt snug; however, after many rides later, it does seem to have broken in to an ever so slightly, loose fit. It's possible a MD would have been a better choice. Update#2 I recently noticed that the screws to the visor were very loose. Get some blue loctite on those before you lose them. Update#3 After some time, the LG does cause unbearable crown pressure. It's mostly loose left to right. Update#4 I bought a MED and confirmed the outer shell and inner padding of both LG and MED are identical in size. They share the same shell and the difference lies in the EPS core. Unfortunately, the MED mostly caused forehead pressure and wasn't the solution to the LG. This is unfortunate dilemma of a tweener.

First motocross style helmet. My previous helmet years ago was a street bike full face. I sent the first one back because the padding made it way too tight. Ordered an XL and it is very snug also. I’m confident that my head would be protected in a crash. Difficult to get eye glasses on after putting on the helmet. The sunshade thing on top catches quite a bit of air when riding on the highway. I looked into removing it but it is part of the hinge for the shield. The inner tinted sun shield touches my big nose when I drop it down and isn’t dark enough to really help much. The venting seems to work well. Enough air moving to keep the shield from fogging but not enough to dry out my old eyes. The padding seals well around the neck. It has been very comfortable for the autumn riding I’ve been doing. Haven’t used it on any hot days yet. Overall I like this helmet. Good value for the money. Order big if you are between two sizes.

This in my first O'Neill helmet, I have Bell for Street and Troy Lee for Desert and Dirt bikes, but i needed a helmet that allowed me to wear glasses as getting prescription googles is too expensive and they get ruined so fast. The reviews on this were good and rightfully so - the helmet is super comfortable it does not fog up really at all when off road, glasses fit perfectly underneath. This is also a lot warmer than my previous helmet but it may also be because it has really nice dense foam. I have warn this for 6 desert weekends and a couple of days of single track riding so far. This seems to be a really good helmet for the first two rides The one Issue I found (But it is Cheap) I have been riding for way to long, my helmets go in my gear bag, but the visor is rather thin and not made as well as the helmet. I have taken headers in the sand with my Troy lee and the visor is fine, i broke the visor putting the helmet in the bag.. Really.. This made it unusable due to the scratching of the plastic riding.. I repaired it for now but very disappointed in visor quality. On the whole the helmet is awesome.. Installing you Cardo is harder and a bit more annoying than my street helmets but if you take your time is will fit with some force

I bought this helmet without being able to test fit one. My Mellon has a habit of having helmets press hard on the back of the head and forehead giving me a "it fits ok on the showroom but after 30 minutes on the road I have a splitting headache" scenario. This model has a little extra "length" that works well with the caveman frontal skull lobe I have. :) The visor is slightly oversized giving you a generous field of view while maintaining the motocross coolness look. The only thing Ive had an issue with is the visor vibrates in the wind just right and produces a slight noise on the rear edge where it contacts the top of the helmet. A little electrical tape tucked underneath, a quick touch up with a razor blade and all looks good and functions without a squeak. Padding is excellent. Just be sure to buy an extra visor whole you can, helmets go oyt of style like cell phones so buying an extra lense might not be possible after a season or two.

I got this helmet as I was trying to get into dual sport/adventure riding and didnt want to get something "too expensive" if it turned out not to be the hobby for me. Well, 15,000+ miles later I'm all in, but I've since upgraded to a Bell MX-9 MIPS helmet. I've done the majority of those 15K miles with this O'Neal helmet, and I've worn it in summer, winter, in driving rain, crossed rivers in it, done a few BDR trips with it, etc. and it has performed extremely well and kept me safe. This O'Neal is nice, but has drawbacks. The overall build quality is very good with some caveats. It checks all the boxes for sturdiness and safety, but there are little things here and there that werent as polished as they could be. The tabs on the padding dont really sit flush with the helmet lines, especially after you remove the padding to wash it the first time. It doesnt have a very good means to install a comm system like a SENA or Cardo. Not only does the helmet NOT have cut outs for speakers, but there isnt a very good place on the outside of the helmet to mount a SENA or Cardo unit. It was a real pain trying to find a spot on the helmet where my Sena 20s would fit because of the sharp angles and contours of the helmet around the sides and bottom portion. I did manage to install my SENA, but no cut outs for the speakers did diminish the felt comfort of the helmet, but not painful by any means. The helmet is also BIG. Surprisingly big, to the point that I look more like an astronaut than a rider. I have a smaller stature so that doesnt help the perception, but this helmet makes my head look 3 times bigger than it is, even though the helmet fits properly. The contours are nice and aerodynamic, which I'll touch on more below, but it still has a very large profile and the very angular, pointy contours and appearance make it seem a little "extra". The styling is less in line with the contemporary, streamlined ADV look you get with Bell, Arai, or Klim. The helmet style, with its sharp angles and points, makes me feel like I should get a Metal Mulisha t-shirt and a tattoo sleeve which doesnt really fit the "style" you see with a lot of ADV stuff right now. This is a pretty subjective point though and up to your own taste, I prefer the sleek look of a Bell or Arai personally, but for the price and safety features this helmet was my initial choice and its done the job very well. The wind guard that installs around your chin is garbage. I see there's a photo posted here by another buyer that highlights the same problem: the wind guard simply doesnt attach. There are hooked tabs on the wind guard, and there are slots in the helmet for it to "snap" in, problem is, they didnt finish the job. The wind guard doesnt really "snap" into the helmet like it should and the result is its sits in the helmet very well...until you get on your bike and ride away, at which point the vibrational, windy nature of riding a motorcycle makes it fall out of your helmet. I ultimately used some black gorilla tape to tape the wind guard into place. Now it stays put but, I shouldnt have to do that with a name brand like O'Neal.... The other gripe I have with this helmet...its HEAVY. Very heavy, unusually heavy given what its made out of and the amount of padding it lacks vs other helmets. This helmet has styrofoam, then padding. My Bell MX-9 MIPS has styrofoam, the MIPS liner, a mesh liner/sweat guard, then padding, and it weighs only 3lbs. My girlfriends LS2 helmts have styrofoam, mesh liner/sweat guard, and paddding, and it weighs 3.5lbs. This helmet has styrofoam, and then padding. This helmet does not weigh 3.5 lbs, mine weighs around 4.5 lbs BEFORE I attach my Sena and GoPro. I ride all day, even during winter I will typically ride 7-10 hours on a Saturday, and after I get halfway through my day I can definitely feel this helmet's weight in my neck. Its not uncomfortable or painful, but I know its there. Pro's about this helmet are its a great entry level adventure helmet. Its a name brand, DOT and ECE rated helmet for less than $150, thats awesome! The peaked visor is really good, its a larger visor than many other brands and blocks the sun and debris much more effectively, I wish my Bell MX-9's visor had the coverage this one has. The helmet is also very quiet, almost as quiet as my old Shoei. My Bell and GF's LS2's by comparison are a lot louder. I didnt feel the need to wear earplugs with this helmet, I do with my Bell. Part of the reason for it being quiet is also the design: for a peaked helmet that's budget oriented, its extremely aerodynamic. This has to do with the helmet styling, all the weird angles, points, and lines make this helmet very aerodynamic, which helps make it quiet. The amount of canards, vents, angles, and other design aspects make the airflow around the helmet excellent. My Bell is aerodynamic because its small and compact, this helmet is aerodynamic because of its style and external features. On the highway, it actually feels lighter going 70mph because the canards and angles help with airflow. Even though the visor is huge, its shape allows it to cut through the air very well and I've never had an issue with wind catching the visor ans snapping my head around. The aerodynamics of this helmet are really, really good. Its also a little bit warmer in cold weather than other helmets I've used, which is also a plus. However, after almost a year, this helmet started to feel "loose". Maybe I really need a medium, but my head size is fit for a Large. it fit snug when I first received it, but never too snug. Now after a year and lots of riding, it feels a little too loose for comfort and shifts around a little too easily. Its still a great helmet and I will keep it around as a back up. If you have a big head and dont mind some of the caveats above, its a good choice for the features you get at this price range. Mine has taken a beating and hasnt given up yet.

El caso es tal cual como sale en la fotos, buena calidad para el precio. No le doy 5 estrellas ya que compre el caso tama#o XXL. pero su dimensión es XL. Me lo quedo espero afloje mucho mas..

Muy confortable, se ajusta muy bien, gran vision, el protector anti baho funcio estupendamente, muy bonito , con una relacion calidad precio estupenda. Estoy muy contento con la compra, totalmente recomendable

Eccezionale. Comodissimo, pratico e funzionale. La visiera scura è una chicca ormai indispensabile, un po’ dura da far scorrere ma funziona bene. Le prese d’aria anteriori sono chiudibili sia dall’interno che dall’esterno, fa ben pensare per la stagione fredda. Un po’ voluminoso, in velocità la pinna parasole fa molta vela e ti obbliga a chinare il capo, ma del resto nasce per l’enduro. Il look cattivo che possiede é il top
