within five minutes of taking my $55 otterbox defender case off and putting this $20 case on, i was sold. it feels great in my hand, and it lets me show off how beautiful the phone itself is, much more so than the bulky case i bought from otterbox. this isn't the kind of case you're going to use when you're trying to protect your phone from meteorites falling from the sky or getting hit with a sledgehammer or a james bond level explosion. this is something that you want, something you will like, something you will trust to protect your phone through many accidents. i like this case, a lot, in other words. i saw a lot of reviews saying that the screen is hard to use because of the screen protector, but i am simply NOT having that problem, at all. i use my s-pen VERY often, especially for taking notes amd making quick shopping lists, and the only problem i have come across is my s-pen tip wasn't gliding over the surface smoothly. i fixed the problem by putting a new tip on my s-pen (there are a few that came with this phone in the box, so you don't have to order them online. you should replace your s-pen tip every few months anyway). now it writes as well as before. if i had to think of one thing i don't think is perfect, it is that the back of the phone still attracts fingerprints. however, this will be the case with ANY clear case or glass-backed phone, so i knew what i was getting into. i am still very satisfied with my purchase from i-blason. this case has quality punching far above what i thought i could get for $20, and this is definitely replacing my defender series otterbox case. i will update this review at a later date. update 11/24/18 i am glad i bought this case. no problems whatsoever. durabaility is great. i've dropped my phone quite a few times in the past month i've owned it. no damages. the case shows no scuff marks, and it shows off my dbrand skins on my note8 very well. water doesn't get under the protector, either, and my ability to write on the screen is the same as day one. i have one and only one gripe, and it is that the case is somewhat difficult to get off. after removing it 5-6 times since i bought the case, it comes off more easily, but in no way does it seem to be weakened or less stiff. this was a problem i had with my otterbox case. taking off the otterbox often made it look raggedy, and the corners of the case didn't touch the body of the phone. i've seen zero of that with this case. for this price, you'd expect a case like this to have some sort of gimmicks. you'd think that the case would disintegrate when rubbed or slid across a rough surface. maybe the screen protector would break easily. maybe the case would be heavy or awkward to hold. the truth is... none of these things are issues. zero downsides. just one good, high quality, inexpensive case for an expensive phone. and i trust this case. i'm glad i purchased it. i have a small finger ring on the back that i got with the magnetic mount i bought for my phone, for use when driving, and i love it. this case even looks good with a big magnet on the the back. all in all, i paid $20 for a case. $20 brought me peace of mine, protection with style, and loyalty to a company i regret not hearing about years ago. 10/10, i recommend this to anybody looking for the best phone case for their note 8, and other phones too.

Great phone case! It feels very sturdy and strong and looks great. If anything I'd have to say the only thing I don't like is that the plastic cover on the screen can sometimes make it difficult to use the touch screen. Like if I tap a button or picture it won't take until the 2 or 3 tap. It happens more often around the edges of the screen. But still giving it a 5 because as far as protecting the phone, it can take a good slip and still not show a scratch on the actual phone. Also like how the back is clear and you can see the orchid gray color of the phone. Why get a phone that is a cool color and then get a phone case that covers that completely? And it's not too bulky and doesn't add more weight to the phone. ****update! So after almost seven months of using this phone case I've got some updates. My phone has been dropped multiple times even on its face and it still looks brand new thanks to this phone case! The case itself does look a little dingy like its scratched up and has discoloration on the rubbery parts but still looks decent. My only issue with it should have to be thay the screen protector has alot of scratches and its making it a little difficult for me to see images in my phone. These scratches weren't made from dropping the phone they look more like scratches from just over use. Like you can see where I'm constantly pressing or swiping with my finger. Besides this I'm still very happy with this item, it held up great for seven months and the only reason I'm getting a new phone case is because if the screen protector.

A great buy, and awesome ROI (return on investment) for the value of all around NOTE 8 protection. I based my decision to buy this case from reading other customer reviews. This case in comparison to others stood out for its style, price, sleekness and look of quality. I’ve had the phone and case less than a week. The case fits the phone like a glove, and does not feel bulky…feels great in hand. I’m 6’3, 230 lbs. Case comes in 2 pieces and snaps tightly together securing the phone. Screen touch responsiveness is great – very pleased with touch accuracy and APP response upon sliding finger or clicking an icon. EDGE PANEL: Activating the edge panel (this is a 1” icon) on right side of screen can be slightly tricky as there is an indentured curvature or dip between the clear face and the outer rubber piece your finger must meet to swipe to display panel. May require a second swipe to grab it – not major in my opinion. S Pen EJECTION: This phone is very well protected with the outer rubber. Because of this, I find ejecting the S-pen is best done using my pinkie finger as the S pen requires a "push-in" to release, and "push-in" to lock-back into phone. Rubber Buttons: Outer buttons very responsive on left and right side of case. Back of phone clear plastic showcases “SAMSUNG” and "Galaxy Note 8" in tempered grey color (on the black phone) looks great when phone is face down. This is a great case – I highly recommend if you’re considering purchasing a NOTE 8 or if you have one and need a replacement case. This is worth protecting your investment. Very pleased with this purchase! Review Update: Using Calculator App: Upon using the calculator, I immediately noticed and found myself pressing numbered buttons repeatedly to register key presses on screen. The calculator application so far is where I see problems occur with this case. I like using the phone calc, but I had to use my TI Npire calculator instead of the phones CALC app. For this, I reduced initial rating from 5 stars to now 4.

I just received and installed my new case. I was pleasantly surprised with the high quality, considering it is a ~$20 phone case. I had reservations about buying from an unfamiliar brand and I was afraid the two-part case would either not work entirely, or completely hinder functionality in order to protect the Note8's curved screen. I have to say, I was wrong on both accounts: Buttons, both on screen and on the phone, are just as responsive as they are without the case. Obviously, it might take a little time getting used to handling the phone, as the case adds a little "bulk" to the normally slim Note8. This added size has a miniscule effect for me, personally, and I am someone who normally has trouble with phone keyboards due to, short, "fat fingers". The underside of the case, where the charger, headphone jack, and stylus are located, is very well designed. I was pleasantly surprised that the stylus is so easily accessible through the case, even with my wide fingers. The headphone jack and charging port are protected with snap-hatch made of the same plastic/rubber material that frames out the case. Sound is completely unhindered; I am able to wtch videos and listen to music with the same sound quality I am used to without the case. I own a mount for this phone and it works perfectly with the case. The same can be said about using Samsung's wireless charging mount. I purchased the black and blue version and, I have to say, it looks very cool. From the pictures in the product description, I was a little afraid that the case would end up looking like a Nerf phone case lol. It is in fact very well done and the blue accent is noticeable, but not overwhelming. I will wait a few weeks to see if I need to update my review but, as of now, I am genuinely confident that my phone is safe, and I am very happy with my purchase.

I was a little hesitant to purchase a full 360 cover due to the fact when I purchased one in the past I was highly disappointed by the front cover being frail and flimsy. But I did a lot of research and read a lit of reviews. Some of the reviews mentioned poor touch screen response while others said excellent . I will say in my first day of use it is excellent and is no different then when you have a bare bones phone with no cover. The case itself is very strong and there is a nice gap between the screen and the surface when you place the phone screen side down. I did read some reviews that the front screen protector can damage and peel over time. I plan on doing a follow up review in 3 months and then again in 6 months to state my findings. Today's date is October 2nd so expect a follow up in January I love this case and feel safe and secure work this case. My facial recognition works as well. I do not use the iris scan so can not attest to that I give this case an A and hope in 3 to 6 months I can give it an A+ but wont until several factors happen. Screen does not peel or damage after 6 months. And 2 phone survives a nasty drop that would have otherwise compromised the phone

I really need to order another one of these cases already, but it is not the fault of the case. I had this case (and phone) for about a week before I had an accident. I was walking my 140 lb. dog on a gravel road. I had just taken my phone out when my dog got startled, body slammed me and knocked me over, and dragged me down the road for a few feet because I had my hand stuck in the leash (true story). My phone was slammed out if my hand and bounced down the gravel road after us. I had just replaced my phone a week or so earlier (thanks phone insurance!) because I had shattered the first phone on a different gravel road (sigh). The first phone was also in a case, but the case did nothing to protect it. Therefore I was certain that I had just ruined another phone. Imagine my surprise when I realized that not only was I intact (bruised, a little blood, but nothing broken) but my phone was perfectly fine. Yay case! The case is scratched, but the glass is great. The only thing that I don't like about this case is that it is really hard to get my phone out if it. However, that is probably what saved my phone, so I can't complain too much. I highly recommend this case, as it protects both the front and back, and these stupid phones are expensive. Also, get the insurance, it saved my butt with the first phone ;-)

Pretty decent case for the money. It feels beefy enough to protect my note 8 if I drop it especially on the edges. I like the transparent look on the back mixed with the black rubber on the edges. The rubber is not overly soft so you won't be fighting to get the thing In/out of your pockets. The screen protector is okay. It's plastic and as such doesn't feel as natural as a glass protector does. However it's alright and sensitivity has only been reduced a little bit. However i did notice the sensitivity was most impacted while playing games more so than running every day tasks like text,typing, opening stuff etc. The edges of the screen protector have no impact on using my edge functions! Over all a no brainer purchase for less than $20 especially given the rip off cost of cases at all big box retailers now days. If the case only lasts a year I personally consider it good peace of mind for cheap and I like the look feel and functionality.

UPDATE 9/26/2017: I uploaded photos of this case compared to the Supcase UB Style case. It is Much Lighter and the pictures show just HOW BIG The i-Blason makes your phone. I do feel much more confidant in the drop protection of the i-Blason. But I rarely drop my phone so I gladly choose the more pocket-able and 1 hand friendly design over protection for now. (I apologize for the picture quality, I only had my iPad mini 4 for photos because there still needed to be the phone in the picture.) Original Review:When you buy a 1000$ phone with your credit card. You kind of want your phone to stay working for the 2 years you will be paying it off. I feel like this case will do that. But I feel like that is the only pro to this case. I bought this and the iQ shield screen protector at the same time and I am glad that I did. After using the phone for 20 minutes I popped out the "Built in screen protector" You literally have to push on the screen in order for it to kind of get the touch. It turned the device into a resistive screen and that would not work for my spoiled librarian fingers. So out went the plastic protector and glue strip. In went the iQ shield. One thing I will say about the built in protector is that it worked really smoothly with the s-pen. that is not the case with this iQ shield Galaxy Note 8 Screen Protector (Case Friendly)(2-Pack), IQ Shield LiQuidSkin Full Coverage Screen Protector for Galaxy Note 8 HD Clear Anti-Bubble Film The bulk it ads to the phone is pretty substantial, almost an .25 to .5 inch all the way around. So that is a blessing and a curse. I cut the charger and headphone jack flap off because it was quite stiff. It was putting more pressure on the cables and ports than I felt comfortable with. But all in all, if you don't mind the bulk and are willing to augment the case a tad for it to work well this is an excellent case. I will be getting something else for day to day use. But I will use this when camping or traveling and want more protection. I would recommend this lightly (because of the bulk only), but I would still recommend it. This was not written to be an aggressive or hateful review. Just an honest one.
